  • Why are people shitting on Brown when this is not the first time we've seen with offense go from looking good to inept within a game regardless of who the qb is? Know what that tells me? It's coachin

  • You don't fail so spectacularly after looking so good multiple times if it's a player issue. That's 100% a coaching issue. Teams adjust and our coach can't figure out how to make adjustments.

Consistent theme for these coaches is they've done everything on hard mode for the last number of years when they could have lowered the difficulty a bit with some strategic moves.

I don't like our coaches any more than you do, just not going to pretend that a new coach gets anything out of this roster. You guys can pretend that this is an all star laden group of players being held back by coaching and I will choose to live in reality.

A new coach wouldn't have this roster. At least a half dozen veteran players would be released before training camp.

sad thing is, even short of strategic moves, if we just made competent moves that every team has we would’ve been much better off.

Every team adjusted to the ratio changes and nat imp. No other team suffers vets who are completely un able to play their position for more than weeks, we do it for years. Not to mention wasting DI spots more times than i can count.

Remember being excited that O’Shes the former special teams guru was our coach? He just got played. He’s beyond loyal to the vets and the young guys getting any chance show how rotten his thought process is. Time for him to go.

was he really a guru tho?...I dont think so...he was a flyer of a hire...almost flamed out immediately and got lucky and caught lightning in a bottle...and has effed it up ever since....And culture...any decent person let alone coach could foster the culture that was here that all good teamsthrive in...he didnt event it but people think he did

this...we get outclassed week in and week out with coaching and the inability to make adjustments...let alone recognize why....compounded with a poor lineup that we choose to field and its not injury related, or ratio restriction. But from a Smug fool of a HC who is just outto lunch and puts personal bias above team

Not disagreeing with you but who you taking off the roster last week? Who you replacing them with?

We are going to be in trouble for a long time on the Canadian side of the roster.

We need like 2-3 amazing drafts in a row.

Or be like Ottawa and sign a bunch of guys way over their value....kind of like we did with Nield already.

Going to be harder with no 2027 1st and if we re sign Dru, no 2028 1st.

We'll still have our 1st next year - the conditional pick is for round 2.

Nevermind - you're right - they have our 2nd rounder but that could be upgraded to the first round.

Lat week ...much like the week before was prob the best roster we have had over all....But that being said we didn't use Jaworski at all either game....and barely used Womack, tho he got more reps in second game, but just not targeted...I dont think TC knows how to best use him anyway

So was okay as okay can be for those games, but also part of the issue is our pathetic PR construct and really no realistic options for players in the area's we actually would benefit from a lil juggling. Along with the back 3rd of current roster full of the same kinda player.

Much like our roster when we break camp ...Our game plans are what they are and that's what we will roll with come hell or high water...is it the stubbornness and lack of preparation/coaching to adjust a game plan once you have 2 quarters played to fix/address insitu things?...or an inability to actually see/identify the issues and fix on the fly?

I think it's the combo of an arrogant/stubborn coach and also limited chops from the collective group to do it...we have quite a few good players currently...probably a bunch who we dont even see as being good who are just stagnating and rotting on the vine by no fault of their own....And nobody seems to have the balls to put foot down and be the heavy.

Looking at most our losses, it is pretty hard to defend the coaching and what seems to be lazy and complacent preperation week in and week out

Thats why we need a coach who can recognize talent...or lack there off...Look forward not back, and target guys in FA in prime...or just hitting it, and will be top tier guys for several yrs moving forward and abandon this reliance on older guys whom "had" success....but are on wrong side of 30...and allow your actual young taent you have to show up and fill the roles....or move on from them too

We passed on a lot of talent I sure we could have grabbed from 2022 thru to last off-season cause we figured "we good" with the old guard....and obviously as we seen...we weren't, and now we really on the precipice of total over haul...when we never ever should have been in this situation

Amazing how things go south when you let almost every free agent go & fail to sign any replacements.

The dangers of buying into your own hype and propaganda. Even more so it's the dangers of prioritizing ideology over winning.

There seems to be an intellectually incestuous relationship between Miller, Walters and O'Shea to the detriment of the team.

Is Miller really involved on the football side? I thought he was the business side which honestly is doing well.

Nobody here knows a ******* thing about who's involved in what, but many pretend to, in order to craft a version of reality that fits their narrative.

He's the boss (President). If he decides Walters & Osh have to go then they're fired.

Yeah, the Bombers run their business in such a way it's a huge secret.

and u can convincingly say this how??...Or is this just your version of reality to fit your defensive and protective assumptions of some involved narrative, and urges you to add your lil emoticons on posts that dont support your wild thoughts?

He's not wrong. Is there somewhere the Bombers have published who is responsible for what aspect of the decision making? Sure there is a traditional hierarchy that one could look at and say this is this man's job, and this is this man's job. If we were to follow that not a lot about what is discussed here when it comes to roster would align with any of our management/coaches job descriptions. We are being asked to take a leap of faith, based on nothing, that MOS rules the land and if someone challenges that assertion on this board they are told they have their head up MOS's ass. It's quite baffling really.

If traditional hierarchy is being followed then KW should be fired ASAP. If the conspiracy theorists suggesting MOS has all the power and over rules KW, then KW should still be fired ASAP for allowing it to happen. No GM should give the HC carte blanche on the over all roster. There is this fantasy being floated around that we have all stars buried in our depth chart, and that MOS just cuts the most talented guys out of camp, but like i say...fantasy. Sure a couple guys out of the hundreds we have had over the years have stepped up and played decent off the bench. That should happen with FAR more frequency actually if we are ever going to contend again. We have a recruitment and talent evaluation problem and most of it starts with KW and our recruiting team.

The last legit bird dog we had was Rigmaiden, and after only a couple years, MOS was a Grey Cup coach. Maybe he isn't holding talent back, maybe he just isn't getting enough being brought in. I don't care who you put out on the field from our current roster, whatever combination you think is optimal, they are a one and done in the playoffs. That is a lack of talent. There is not much to love about our roster the past 2-3 years. Serious erosion of talent. We have let an all star team walk away in FA. That's on KW. Before you say they left because of MOSs coaching, nearly ALL of them expressed a desire to stay and were then insulted by either receiving no offer or a low ball offer.

Edited by GCn20

An all-star team? I see Kenny Lawler (who wanted more than we were willing to give him). Ford (wanted to play with his brother) and that's it. Dobson-Very good.

GMs and coaches always work together... That is kind of the sign of a healthy environment. If the GM is always in there getting in the coaches business that's not great either. Honestly I think you're wrong on how dire the talent situation on the team is. It's not as stacked as it was during our grey Cup run for sure (you'll also recall that they did things the hard way grinding out close games that could have gone either way) but there's enough talent to comfortably be a playoff team.

I think it's very easy to build a case that the coaches have had a problem getting the most out of the group they have but with a stacked and deep roster it doesn't matter .

Good coaching isn't about winning with a loaded roster, it's about winning despite holes

We had our success when we loaded up with established FA guys in prime for most part. Not from our coach discovering and recognizing new talent brought in and that put us over...nope.

If a anything the fleeting success was inspite of a less than optimal roster assembled and now over past 3..4 yrs where we ran established vets into ground and well past their best before dates..the whole while the coach didnt let guys develop and get reps puts us where we are now...weak as a whole and prob the shallowest in league in terms of depth and legit stars

People can yeah but all they want about what..who was brought in..so and so wasn't picked up from us..nobody on pr or was deemed a backup has shown anything (tho guys who actually got on did)and blame it on recruiting and scouting but when you have a hc who can't recognize talent for talent not his "intangibles" continually hampers his roster..refuses to use rules to bolster roster and has limited capacity for the x and o aspect and ability to he himself fix things either in game or in prep..or see where/when to step in, well it doesn't matter who Walters and Co. bring in

History here has shown us when u look at his yrs here in segments that Osh excels when he is provided a heavily laden vet (in prime) roster who self police and almost coach themselves...when that evaporates...or isnt there like his first 4yrs...well he looks much like he does now and sadly is..an arrogant guy who nary has a clue and gets upset when asked about it but can't accept accountability

we don’t see him in the draft room any more, so i really don’t think he is.

I mean on the football side, the sellouts, a successful Grey Cup (on the business side), their work around Orange Shirt Day, the Rum Hut and the Flag Football clinics in schools with Alexander were all really good work. Hard to fault Miller.
