Heard yesterday morning out of Regina a Rider player had been in a wreck and that it was likely the Rider players fault, didn't know who until afternoon. Then a lot of locals went off on a "brown guy

Okay potential team names.....AND GO!

I'm thinking Voyageurs (it should be something French sounding like the Canadiens or the Nordiques or the Alouettes)

Well, they could just drop the "g" to make it interesting.

Red Blacks but with an emphasis on the space between the words.

What's a Voyaeurs?

The Narrow Rivers or the Mont Royales

A travelling nude person?

Maybe they can bring back the classic Ottawa Renegades show us your **** night where all the ladies in the crowd can get harassed by beads and drunk men again?

And once Alberta and Quebec separate, Randy Ambrosie can give two middle fingers to everyone who said his global expansion plan was a pipe dream!

In China, he would be referred to as a "Peking tom".

Then they would need to drop more than just the "g" from Voyageurs for that name to stick!

I think Ottawa wants to keep idea that for themselves. Might be on the table for next year if they keep losing.

When I read this on social media... it was literally the first time I've ever heard the name Riley Green... I have no idea if this is a popular act or not...

Narrator: and it was in the moment, he realized he is officially one of the old guys...

I see you are a fan of the removal of the 55 yard line. At least it looks like the uprights are in the right place

We need less AI imaging out there

i kind of dig mont royales or just royales.

Cannons, a nod to frontenacs great quote.

gotta call the stadium the citadel and have a killer view

Actually, "tabarnak" is a corruption of "tabarnacle" and is not a sexual reference at all, though it is one of the strongest swearwords in Quebecois, but not French.

yep, the québécois love the anti catholic cuss words.

I knew a guy from Granby, Quebec and learned to cuss in French. He told me that Quebecois do not call down the wrath of God or insult the victim as we do. Instead they, when upset, will say something like, "Mother Superior was raped by a herd of baboons".

Was he an old guy? Quebec has become extremely secular, and their use of curse words now is more representative of that and of how forbidden it was for older generations. Its a pretty interesting culture. My wife's family is Québécois, and French is her first language and the culture of younger generations here is much closer to the quebecois then it has been in the past.

I'm actually headed to QC in a couple of weeks, and I'm pretty excited; I love the old parts of Quebec.

Don't know much about their facilities in Quebec city ..The Nordiques seemed to get off the ground initially, then fell flat on their face....A team there would have to be promoted properly....if it isn't ,we could see a failure and their stadium looking like another Calgary won't go over so well ...Like the idea though of getting another club in the east......

Football in Quebec is a pretty big deal actually...Done right I can see it being pretty successful and a natural rivalry now for the Als and prob bring a lot of excitement for a labour day back to back experience there
