It has just been a crazy season. At least decent QB play, is more important than ever

So while I get all the whining and complaining right now.... What I'm more interested in is how we fix it. And I don't want to hear "it's too far gone and can't be turned around" because it's the CFL... It's never too late. So how do we fix things with what we have?

a lot of the fixin needs to happen with the HC and how he is going about things...or maybe take charge of things as it appears he has no control of much...or and I truly think other than hurt us in regards to the coaching cap fire the HC..we'd be no worse for wear this yr, and a firey new voice likely gets this teams attention...a lot of you all wont like that take....but needed to be done before this season started...good will and the mulligans dried upafter th 2024 b.s...last yr just confirmed it

We need to remove and try new pieces where we been failing with who we have in house if not for a game or 2 just to see if it moves the needle...and if it doesnt then why we clinging on to them...and bring in new blood....

I'd also say change the "way we do things" as it's old and worn out and not working anymore as teams pass us by...its not 2019-2022 anymore

I sincerely doubt if O'Shea is capable of changing his M.O. He is either incapable of recognizing the problems or chooses to ignore them.

The reality is with the coaching cap, KW and MOS are here through at least next season, likely until 2028.

Guaranteed. No point in speaking of either of them not being here for 2 years prob all 3 even so that leaves Tommy and Jordan.

You can also replace McManus cuz haven’t found a legit player since rigmaiden goivea etc era of scouting

And at this point maybe you take away Walter’s drafting cuz although Nuer looks good at times (potential is there) Daniels who KW jizzed over on video does not.

In free agency, we need to change our focus from old players who might have a good season to two left to young up-and-comers. Example: Ayden Eberhardt, not Tim White.

We need to change training camp from "it's about what you've done in the past" to fighting for your job every day, every play, every rep. No vet days. No pre-season games off, at least a quarter for every vet. Highly competitive practice = highly competitive play. Relaxed practices = relaxed play.

We need to "Buono" the old guys a year or two early rather than wait until they are obviously done. Example: Stanley Bryant

MOS needs to change and get with the times. Use every rule to its best advantage. Make sure players are ready before putting them on the roster. Start looking for problems before they become glaringly obvious to the fans. Be ready to change plans ASAP when they aren't working.

Less LB's on the AR. Bigger receivers. Change the offense to match Dru's abilities at least until Collaros is back. More Brady O. Less deep balls.

We need to find a way to stop making so many errors on defence. Too many wide open receivers deep = too many explosion plays = too many points against.

Essentially you try and force kw and mos to quit.

Why do people keep saying there are too many "deep balls?"

We basically throw nothing more than 20 yards.

Our YPA on passes the last two games is under 7 yards.

The game we actually did have some vertical routes against Toronto the only thing that stopped our O was turning the ball over.

We're throwing short and intermediate routes across the field into coverage because the D is dividing the first 20 yards of the field into thirds, one guy in the first 10 yards, one guy at 18-20 yards behind. They are under and over everything we are running because we do not go deep. So the QB looks like a dumb **** because every route he's reading on any play has 2-3 guys in coverage/proximity to it to break it up.

Watching Osh's expression on the bench last night, after one of the many glaring errors in that game, I caught a look of ' this just ain't working' and a glimpse of defeat and a 'I'm getting tired of this crap'....Having said that it was only fleeting and I doubt he's prepared to change things as he is dead set in his ways.....That's our dilemma

Three more years of this **** thanks to Mikller re-signing his buddies. Why do I feel we could become like Edmonton or Ottawa with 15000 people in the building.

Got the same feeling....and if the next game at home ends up being similar to the last one...wellllll all I can say is we're on our way

YPA isn't a good indication of deep balls because an incompletion drops it down.

Through 2 weeks Brown was at 11.4 YPA which would put him in the top half of the league and he throws 20+ yards depth passes at about the same rate as everyone else. He has been horrendous on accuracy on them though.

I'm pretty sure 3 of the 4 interceptions he threw were 20 or more yards past the line of scrimmage.

Pretty much..smart tried and true protocol.. the kind success grows from..continued..not a peak and 5 yr continual slide while you miss out on young established stars in the .making for downside of career vets

His post game presser too..no ownership..no accountability for anything..same kinda blind answers confirming he has no clue whats wrong..and or how to fix it..basically a whole bunch of lip service offering nothing of substance..some excuses...but some we can't use that as an excuse..was pretty pathetic...its OK to say "we sucked" "some guys are just not performing how we thought or would like" without naming names but basically pointing out the obvious...maybe some will play with urgency

Maybe even say we have some players in house that maybe we may slot into lineup..if that doesn't get a fire burning in some..or get more outta them then its a lost cause..time to revamp..reload and maybe catch lightning in a bottle to close out season and go on a run..this group ain't gonna do it...I dont want them too because that will just give tweedle dee and tweedle dumb currency to bring em all back...puuuuuuke

Bryant out. If vanterpool is healthy start him at rt other wise poncius vs wallace probably poncius. The ol could use more but we don’t have much to go in for subs.

Vaval is too good with the ball in his hands not to see action. use him in jet sweep packs, screens etc.

Start singer at wr no more 3 nis.

strip TC of play calling duties. Bring in lapo if possible. Honestly, i’d let zach call plays whether he is starting or not.

Hall takes over play calling duties for now. jy still installs D and such, but hall is the qc and jys boss not working for jy. His adjustments are fantastic, and he doesn’t over complicate play calls.

Dl, cut jenkins. Demote korny to pr. bring in imp dts.

Cut wilson and start smith. rotation of jones has been pretty good, continue that.

Air lift in dbs, rookie imps and vet cuts. most every one in the secondary needs to be pushed. Cut moxey right away. When allen is back try him at that corner spot.

DA wj. he’s damn good and already rotating, and nuer has been doing better each game.

Gatkouth is starting to get his sea legs and confidence..he was already solid in his contain and run defence..especially inside runs and recognizes it quick and doesn't get hosed outside

WJ is playing like of old.. and u can see his vet leadership..hes solid..Reese as well...very solid..and he has some serious technique..just fine tune it now and watch out

We do need an interior guy to compliment zCerssna and Lawson..Scmeck is good short yardage/goaline guy on both sides of ball...Korn..he who been cut 3x and nobody grabbed him is just a waste...and limited in what position he can play..give his reps to someone else after his pink slip

Dixon I wanna see back to further assess as he looked like a good piece. But we should be bringing in a big plugger every week till we find a guy

The organization treats it's fans great, No argument there. They try hard to make the football experience really good but at the same time the arrogance of The Trinity is going to be the death of this organization. They refuse to adapt & change. There seems to be no long term plan in place for the team going forward. It's too bad that stubborn arrogance will burn up all that goodwill so quickly.

I don't see us dropping to crowds of 15000 but agree a drop is coming.

Elks are a prime example of an organization not treating their fans with respect & thinking they know best. A Director mocked older white male fans a few years ago. The name change was handled badly & the chronic losing just made it ten times worse.

Ottawa is such a sad sack organization but it also shows just how far an team can fall even with a city that really suppoorted the team. All that goodwill totally wiped out. A generation of fans know nothing but losing. Imagine being a RedBlacks fan with teens & trying tio convince them to cheer for them. Won't happen.

So yes, it could happen here.

It’s really confounding how we are soo deep into the season with out a vet wr on the pr, only 1 cover dbs on the pr, more then 1 imp dt on the whole roster, or the fact that our whole roster is just 1 global deep.

Other things i’d do, send daniels to the pr. he isn’t bringing any thing and takes snaps away from mci who is better at every thing.

Start clercius over nield. I like nield and i think he will be excellent down the road. but he hasn’t produced and every one needs the message that if you don’t produce you don’t play.

Bring in some one like masoli to sit in the ir/pr and be a coach with out eating into the front office cap.

Actively shop assets like nl/picks/draft rights for young talent.

Finally clear out the pr to make room for airlifts.

I don't know how you even fix the roster issues we have. This is deeper than just a couple of positions. The problem is, we know Osh will do none of that. It'll be business as usual on Tuesday.
