I think defensively If JY wanted changes there would be..still gonna give em some time before i hit the panic button.Though i do agree that 5 th receiver with Corky..is definitely a pain in the ass to defend.

Honestly, I don’t see a panic button for us to hit. Short of airlifting and starting a bunch of rookies, which doesn’t happen any more, the only real move we have is to swap jy and hall which is going from pepsi in a can to pepsi in a glass.

People believe too much assistants have say in roster...they have input and thats it...and have to make do with some the garbage osh feels is deserving

If not let's waste an import there and still have shiitt for reciever and be an injury away from again being handcuffed...or better yet let's remove an import off defense on the dline and add a canadian DT and delete an end...a dt who is arguably the worst in league and not make any other roster

If Vibert isnt an option then wtf he doing here still? Why not again shift elsbury to guard and eli at center..Eli did absolutely nothing to not get a second spot..he was more than fine and would look better with Neuf on his right as well

Yeah I don’t have a lot of confidence moving forward this year. Obviously hope I’m dead wrong. It just doesn’t seem like we have the talent to get it done.

Whether it’s poor roster management, scouting, who we choose to keep coming out of camps or a combination of these, this team is simply not good enough.

Holes at nearly every positional group. PR is a mess. The days of the NFL cut airlift are long past. There’s no quick fix really.

It just feels post COVID that the club is not cycling in fresh blood with potential anymore. It's like a few new guys, a hand ful of known mediocre guys that we pray will one day break out, and a lot of status quo.

Agreed that we are unlikely to be a playoff team this year and that ought to be a clear reason to frog-march a lot of people out the door. I believe that Wallace injured his shoulder last game, and Eli at Center between Neufeld and Wallace ought to be a solid tandem, but much as we love our right guard, his effectiveness is rapidly drawing to a close.

We had a chance to make real changes last year but wimped out. Instead Miller gives Walters & Osh new 3 year deals? Three frigging years??? Why would you lock in 2 guys who performed way under expectations? In what universe did Miller think Osh would do things differently? It was never going to happen & now we're stuck with both on long term deals. Booch, you know better than to ask why Gabe Wallace isn't playing. According to Osh it's none of your business.

That’s a huge part of it for sure. Underperforming vets don’t ever get benched here, even just for a game.

There was one spot at corner and one at DE designated up for grabs in camp, the rest of the roster was predetermined.

We had guys making plays at LB in camp/preseason and cut them to stick with declining Wilson and mediocre Jones.

The club treats most of the roster as lifetime appointments and it’s biting them big time.

also they raved about Vpool....and apparently we need an olineman (which I highly doubt in all honesty)...and really we coulda just dressed same group as last week and Vibert be 6th...Eli at center and Ellsbury at guard....but he gets bypassed for Mazzcua which to me is an upgrade to Vpool as I said in camp he was a beast and be shocked if he wasnt kept...so why have hom still around if a rookie overtakes him...we have that Poncious kicking around....thats 2 backup imports that wont see the field...so maybe replace one with an actual guy who could be impactful on defense...or a legit actual receiver....but no...break camp and stick with the known...some of which are past their prime and carry a whack of guys that wont see the field...some of which when an opportunity arises....gets bypassed by a rookie....just garbage management

If they wanna see what Mazzcua can do...Swap him out with Elsbury...we have seen 3 games of him to see he is decent but not worth bastardizing your roster of a import elsewhere that could actually move the needle...give him a few games and then pick the better of the 2

But no we go 4 import oline needlessly and have to remove an American on defence to add a useless Korn...who we have seen for 3 yrs now be ineffetive and cut multiple times...where no one else picked him up....there is a reason for that...Sure Jenkins wasn't lighting it up...but he would offer more than Korn will...and he has shown some flashes....Korn has showed jackshit...and thats his ceiling...not floor

christ they dont get benched even for a series or 2....we just send up out to be continually owned...Osh is just a bad game day/roster manager...he's good when he has a stacked lineup...but when he has to actually put the best one out there on evaluating/recognizing talent and usefulness, constructing a sound roster to mitigate any injury issues that could pop up in game...and have "actual" depth across the board that can actually be used...he sucks...worst in the league if we being honest

Believe it or not but there are some Bomber fans on social media that want us to trade Dru Brown to Hamilton. Thinking we could get some kind of haul in starters & draft picks for the guy. We look to be finally getting our QB Room squared away & these yahoos want Brown to be sent packing. Others have said to trade Collaros or Elgersma.

We gave up two high draft picks over the next 2 seasons to acquire Brown back. Now these fans want him traded again twice in the same week. I just shake my head sometimes. We probably have the best QB 1, 2 & 3 in the CFL at the moment. The future does look bright down the road. I believe it would be a mistake to deal Brown & I doubt Walters would do that.

I've been a Bomber fan for a lot of years & I'm getting Dieter Brock vibes with Elgersma. He could be a very special qb once he gains experience. I'm looking forward to his development in tne years to come. He has almost every box checked off as far as size & arm strength go. Anyway, I thought he played well. he was smart & managed the Bomber offense very well last night. Unlike Tre Ford. The guy may be sensational once he's tutored by both Collaros, Brown & gets meaningful game experience in this league

To be clear the 2028 pick in the Brown trade is conditional on him staying in Winnipeg. And the 2027 pick was a swap for the Bombers 2nd round pick. So if Brown doesn't stay in Winnipeg past this season for whatever reason, it will have cost the Bombers a whopping 9 spots to get him onto the roster. It would be ridiculous to trade him, but the Bombers paid very little for him... and even if he sticks around the club probably views it as a wash because they usually get a compensatory pick in the 2nd round for overplaying canadians.

I mean, I would consider that if Hamilton was indeed willing to trade starters/AR. Not draft capital. It would have to be extremely expensive on Hamilton's end. I would do the same for any player on the roster; if we got a lopsided value back, no one is untradeable. If we can fix the 2nd DE, defensive backfield, and WR while getting Canadian depth? Sure. Hamilton isn't likely to do that, but if they are, go for it. Talking something like howsare, Stubbelfield, Stavros, Gittens etc. Not for some pack of 1 player and picks or less.

Otherwise, I'm very happy to be sitting on the QBs we have. Having Brown + Elgersma for the post-Zach era is going to be key.

You're leaving out the part where we also got a 2nd round pick (2027) as part of the trade. It was our pick originally but we sent it to Ottawa in order to move up & take Daniels.

A actual DT and another end to compliment Reese who is a keeper...Dixon likely is thar versatile guy to do that.

And we need a physical strike fear in the middle DB to stop the free reign we give up the middle

We need to use our lb group properly with the right guys..Woodbey back will help..Smith and Ayers need more reps and we need to see what Shay can do..or move on

Stop the senseless over rotation and when we do bring in the quasi safety guy it needs to not be Kelly

And lastly 3 National oline guys and actually use that import spot on a spot that will.move the needle and also use the nationalized American rule to full effect.

We do that and we can be top 1-3 in league....easily

Cat in the coalmine tho is we have Osh as a coach.. Will he do it..or recognize it? If he has to overstep his assistants to do so..he best be doing it...but basically here its Osh hamstringing his coordinators

In a nine team league... I don't want to help anyone else out. Perkins is probably the only one I would give up and it would have to be a HAUL in return, which would never happen... So we sit on our wealth of riches and hope that Zach is okay because he's been really good to start the year.

According to the Free Press, Ottawa is getting a 2028 pick from us - it's just a matter of what round, 1st or 2nd.

The conditional pick will become a first if Brown re-signs with the Bombers for 2027 and plays a certain amount that season.

If I'm trading any qb it's collaros.... he's near the end of the road and isn't a long term option. Better to run with Brown and see what Elgersma develops into.
