I can't remember the exact reason but it is intentional on his part. I want to say something about shielding them or having them learn from the sidelines. Former LA Rams & Washington Head Coach George Allen was just like Osh. Allen claimed for every starting rookie in the lineup, it equates to losing one game each. So if 7 rookies started they'd lose a minimum of 7 games. Of course, Allen was in his late 50's or early 60's when he coached Washington & lost in Super Bowl VII. Allen wasn't wrong as it does have some merit. Rookies do make mistakes but I've seen veteran players who know better make stupid mistakes as well. So to base that as a team building coaching philosphy is absolutely ridiculous & closed minded. Another reason I hope Osh leaves. Tracker 1

No single, no nothing, game over. Noeller and bustamente 2

Almost lost charles robert’s career due to that, troy mills and eric blount lol Old coaches do lose touch. Ritchie sure did. I remember OL Coach Bill McDermott coaching in the CFL. His last stop was Edmonton in the early 2010's. The man was in his 60's & needed two knee replacements. McDermott could barely walk & every step looked painful (I could relate as I was just like that before I had my 2 knee replacements). I wondered why he put himself through such torture everyday during the season. It's all these older coaches know as they've been at it so long. It's like being in cruise control, Fourty five or more seasons coaching will do that. Guys like McDemott, Allen & Ritchie just do it. Sounds like we can add Osh to that list. Premature aging. 16 minutes ago, rebusrankin said: Montreal is the lesser of two evils. I'd still like to see Alexander laid out. He needs a serious case of humbling that huge ego he has. Captain Blue Posted 7 hours ago Report Posted 7 hours ago Great news in my opinion. The guy has his flaws and I certainly hope we see some changes but he is quite literally one of the best Bomber coaches of all time. Perhaps the best when you consider for era adjustments. Trying to replace an all time great almost never goes well. Very happy to see him stay here and try and right the ship. There is still a reason he was so coveted by others.
