When poor Matty Ice's arm got fully toasted (after he went to Ottawa!) that was a cooked arm. That poor guy couldn't make a 10 yard toss. That was so many shots to the shoulder and he just didn't have the juice.

Dude his arm was cooked for the last 2 seasons he played for us.   Instead of blaming LaPo rewatch his games... the guy could *only* make 5 - 10 yard passes.

If only you knew what kind of things that many of our greatest Bombers used to do with women around town.     Also kind of hypocritical when a guy like Lawler drives drunk and puts peoples lives at danger yet you gave him a 2nd chance and yet Kelly being a sex pest is somehow worse?     I'd take Kelly next year over rolling out Zach and his 2 back breaking ints per game.

Zach ain't what he used to be for sure, but his arm is not cooked. He needs help around him, play calling that makes sense, a coach that will reign him in, and a little more self awareness. He isn't MOP calibre anymore, but he is still capable of being a lot better than what he has shown this year. Gone are the days of Zach taking control of a game on a consistent basis, but he can certainly manage our games a lot better if we can create the right conditions. That being said, his salary needs to reflect that if we are going to bring him back. There is no reason in the world he can't re-invent himself like Harris and BLM have done if everyone comes to terms with the fact he has to do so, including himself.

Can Zach change his style? We have not seen evidence of this yet..

Will the coaching staff push him to change? See above.

Yep...hence what we have seen this year. Not saying it's going to happen, just saying it's what needs to happen. I think we may have been a lot better off hiring Lapo over Hogan. Lapo love him or hate him, would not have continually tried to put a square peg in a round hole.

Nope.  Our coaching staff themselves are resistant to change so I can't see them telling ZC to change things up.

"Well other people did bad things too!" lol look at you defending a well known multiple time POS. lol. **** Kelly and any team that employs him. He's well past his 2nd chance.

I fully believe MOS will ride the vets that want to stay right to the unemployment line. It's a shame but that seems to be the plan.

I'm a big believer in second chances, but Kelly's personality and track record indicates that this is his core personality and unlikely to change. He might suppress it for a while under duress, but leopards and spots...

You sure about that? Lapo has his system and it's been the same for ever. Not all that different from what Hogan is trying to do,  just lapo is better at it. For my money collaros would struggle in a lapo system because it relies on a lot of short passing which is absolutely the weakest part of collaros game.

Collaros seems to have reached the point where there is no strong part of his game any more. He used to be able to roll out and throw 40 yard darts with amazing accuracy, but no more.

Yea...I'm sure. Lapo would have control of his QB. Collaros can easily play a ball control style. He doesn't like it, but he could.

I can't even believe that anyone would even entertain the notion of bringing back Mike Kelly. This is just insanity. I couldn't care less about his perviness, the guy was an absolute disaster as a coach, an even worse GM, and single handedly destroyed our reputation and made us the laughing stock of the league. I would rather hire the Saskatchewan guy who likes to poop in Winnipeg planters than Kelly.

Talk is about Chad Kelly, not Mike Kelly.

My bad. PTSD I guess. Thank goodness, I thought this place had gone off the deep end once and for all.

I agree that Kelly (Chad) is likely too big of a risk due to the off field stuff. But, I also hope the Bombers move away from "good in the room" and "character" as the top criteria for retaining or obtaining players. That's how we end up with former Marines and endless years of Jake Thomas. Talent first if you want to win. Don't want a room full of headcases, but I'll take a few super talented ones. Especially on a team that really lacks high end talent like the Bombers.

He's too big of a risk because of physical limitations from his injury before you even factor in the BS.

The guy hasn't played since last year. We are screaming up and down about what a goof it was to sign Dalton Schoen. Same thing really. I wouldn't touch him with a 10 foot pole right now when you factor in he is a wing nut. If we decide to move on from Zac, and I really don't see many better options, I would hope it isn't to sign him.

Faj > Kelly... 100% of the time for me... Faj may be a bit of a dink but at least he's a decent human being...

Fajardo has led the Esks to the precipice of a playoff spot. Edmonton will lock him down. Ford is not the future there and they know it.

But he's still under contract through 2027 (and the amount goes up in each of the next 2 seasons) so that may hamstring them a bit, in terms of what they can afford to pay Faj unless they can get him to redo his deal or pawn it off on another team.

....or they could cut him.  I can't see a universe where any team pays him 425k next year. None of his 3 year contract is guaranteed. He'll be gone before his bonus comes due imo. The guy outright sucked this year. If they try run it back with him and let Faj go they are complete idiots and deserve the 2 win season they will have. Cody has proven that Ford was completely inadequate by having a winning record with the same squad that Ford could only win one game with.
