There's a drastic difference between Collaros and Streveler's passing ability.  Even with Collaros struggling.  And the O in general.  You'd have to watch the games with your head jammed up your butt

Yeah all involved have literally a week of knowing this was a likely scenario.  Should be able to make a call by like 4 PM before people start traveling to the stadium.

On the vaval KR td was nice to see J.Jones and Adams take out the guys to spring him and our rookies Shay and Smith escort him in...

Smith looks like a great athlete, I think he's got a bright future

He should be getting looks on defence...if we were letting Hallett play...both him and Shay should be getting reps

For sure. I love his nose for making plays, great instincts and motor.

Ya I think there's a healthy enough respect between them because they're both among the best to ever do it at their respective positions, but there was absolutely no love lost between those Bombers and Argos teams of the 2000s.... I'm sure there's some unresolved things.

They used to get into it on the radio in O’shea’s early years when we were losing. I definitely don’t think they go out for beers after games.

We? What does he mean by WE? HE thought it was the right call.

We = Hogan & MOS.

Mike O’Shea liked the decision to throw it deep, saying he wanted to take a two-touchdown lead.  “I like the call,” said O’Shea. “We’re putting a nail in the coffin.”

I'm sure this quote will be used against us again later in the season.

While I don't mind "going for it",  I'm a bit hesitant when for the most part the lead was gained by special teams/defense and where up until that point they had very little success in the pass game.

I hope OSH is just protecting his OC - if he agree's with that statement - he needs to give his head a shake - always make it a two score game with 3 minutes left... we got lucky, and the D bailed them out.

Considering the complete lack of traction the O had that game you take the guaranteed points all the time. One on one is totally different if you got a 6'2 receiver on a 5' 8 db as well but when it's the other way around... just dumb.

It is ALWAYS this... Players or coaches....

Streveler completed 3 passes over 10 yards in the air the entire game.

Not exactly primed for a "kill shot."

Coaches can criticize Streveler's accuracy...but how the **** do you not realize his limitations?  They were calling plays based on that the whole night.  It can be a little better for him if you win up front and open up playaction.  But nothing opens up until he makes some throws.

So that playcall was just an arm punt.

I think it more a guy with minimal clue or answer and inability to admit fault/failure

Tho I never put too much weight or consideration into PFF seeing Kolo at the bottom of the barrel for Centers.....shocking haha

I cant imagine how you could grade much worse tbh. He had some brutal snaps, the usual durp in run pro and full time pylon in pass pro.

interesting they had Rando top rated, and lofton in the top 9. The list was interesting, but hit home why I don't put stock into their rankings.

PFF consistently rated Orlando Brown JR highly a few years ago when he was with KC and its was really obvious that he was not an elite olineman. Never been a fan of them.

To play devils advocate, it appears Streveler did underthrow the 5 foot 8 receiver but dumb call none the less. Hogan screams arrogant prick with his stupid sunglasses always.

There wasn't enough endzone to throw it as far as he would have had to to overcome that mismatch and coverage, imo. It was just a bad call all around.

Every play call in the world is wrong if it doesn't work out? Nope. Hogan's right, the defence presented us with pass being the right call. Execution was the problem not play call.

Can't blame the play call for poor execution.

I tend to agree cuz ppl ***** when they don’t go for it and kick the fg always. I mean it’s kinda lose lose all the time.

well the choosen receiver too for that call may have also been an issue...still though with leagues best RB would it not been better to take 2 runs at it and depending how close u were on 3rd down gamble?.....or just kick the 3 and nake it a 2 score game?....

All throughout a game a defence will present looks that can be exploited...that being said they also are playing the game too and can make a play...and the DB there made a solid play....and had a size mismatch to boot...

We could easily have played very conservatively as well, and maybe should have, but if you are going to go out and continue through and play then you see what the defence gives you and play from there.
