Cancelled due to poor talent quality.

  • Someone needs to answer publicly for that, I think there needs to be an explanation given as to why we sunk 160k (lots upfront) into a receiver that we aren’t even considering using

  • Wade Miller sounding arrogant? The devil you say.

Yeah. I dunno. Must be not the right changes.

well that receiving group is embarrassing....the defensive changes are an ujpgrade tho.....just one more spot to purge.....our offensive depth across the board tho is worst in league and not even close

Wow, Still no.Mitchell

with Kramdl in at safety look to Arbuckle Coxie going deep..often

For those of us wanting roster changes here we are. Really highlights our lack of depth at several positions ie receiver, db and dline

Kelly would be better...maybe a game or 2 to get his sea legs.....Hopefully Kramdi is as smart as the coaches claims and plays the snot outta safety....he was an achilles heal at SAM

good defensive moves tho....Other than Ball and Thomas....but steps being made 🤘

I mean Streveler is playing and we dressing Cooley Brady MCI Demski even sterns Cobb. I mean pretty obvious the game plan isn’t gonna be 50 yard bombs.

Maybe this offense can be successful with a heavy run attack and short possession game, Hit a couple deep ones to Demski or Wheatfall when they are available. Otherwise run run run with Oliveira and Cooley (and Strev if he can still run?). The short passes are Corcoran's bread and butter.

Someone wrap Demski in bubble wrap. By my count the rest of the receivers have about half of his career receptions when you combine them all together.. and half of those are Sterns

I half expect the O to dominate possession and yardage and we kick 10 field goals and win 37 to 24

Corcoran for Case might be an upgrade. Case dropped as many as he caught. Corcoran can at least be a possession receiver, plus he allows for another American on the roster somewhere else.

I like what we’ve done with the D. The more Griffin the better.

I like most of the changes on D. Griffen at SAM, Parker at CB, J.Jones on. Not sure on Kramdi at S. He can hit but isn't the knock that his coverage skills can be lacking? Still I'm excited to see how this D looks.

The offense on paper is very underwhelming. I'll echo the comments on why are we keeping Mitchell if he can't get on the roster now. I also don't see the point of adding Cooley, Peterson was fine. I mean, why not add Mitchell, don't add Cooley, take off Ball (what is the point of another ster?) and keep Peterson.

That's a spicy meatball! More change than I was expecting.

Kramdi to S, I like this idea. He's a downhill guy, not a strong man-to-man cover guy. The question will be if his instincts to get into positions to make plays translates to S, and if he will continue to struggle to finish plays. Boom or bust guy at S. Either he's going to put fear into WRs and make a bunch of plays on the ball or he's gonna fail to pick up deep guys.

I find Griffin to Sam and Parker to cornerback, odd. Parker was very good at sam here in the past, and Griffin is very good at picking up and carrying guys deep. I like the switch. Griffin should excel in most positions. Idk about Parker on the corner. I think he is a couple of games from running out of leash.

Vaval, still, the DI KR is odd. Especially with Cobb on the roster. I like the guy, but he's drowning. He needs to sit imo.

Happy Jones is on, but I don't think he will see a single defensive snap. He should get some blitz plays, though, and passing situation plays especially.

7 lbers with ayers, 4 of whom are NI, for 2 spots. That is an egregiously bad use of roster flexibility.

Boy, that WR core is UGLY.

Lofton at LT worries me, especially since its his first game in week 9.

I like Cooley, but boy, I don't feel like Hogan will use him well.

Glad Chase is in, and Zach is sitting.

I'm optimistic for the D, and intrigued.

I'm worried about how much of our imp roster flexibility is tied up in a few spots that won't see D/O reps. I'm really worried about the WR core, OL, and Depth.

I think Corcoran at least has a chance to do something. I really worry, though, that we will continue to run flood concepts under the secondary, and the whole WR group is SLOW af. If the opposition secondary is going to be faster, they can't get gifted leverage. I'm worried the Argos will just be running downhill, making plays on our WRs/the ball.

hey a win is a win...scratch and bite if we have to...I think the defense now ho may actually take games over with the talent now all on....Makonzo for Ball soon I hope....Maybe Woods for Ayers and we could be cooking

kinda agree...not gonna scare anyone and be a big play threat and we already have a Clercius who is the same kinda guy...so a bit redundant but I guess when u have no depth...and choose to not even try a guy who has been impactful before thats what you get...Corcorran has shown he can catch

As long as he is able to stay high and read whats going on...be over the top help and not bite on fake runs he may be alright there....He was killing us in coverage before, and tackling in space....so play smart...crash down when needed (which he does well) could be his calling there

At least the staff are making roster change choices instead of 'standing pat'. I am good with it... even if it means working though the players until the mix works.

This shows growth, and a willingness to adapt.

We may not be happy with some of the changes - but at least it is a move in the right direction!

yeah agree on the Kramdi.....Our achilles heal tho on offence I think is Hogan...Hopefully Jackson has had a lot of input and is creating ways to utilize who we have on....but man that receiving group....worst in league in some time....

I would hope smart minds would realize more usage of J.Jones is a good thing....we shall see....I could see him off edge in some sets with the 3 other ends tho...he is a good blitzer and has shown knack to get sacks and pressures in T.O

AGREED...HAPPY with the defensive sie...hopefully they use them appropriately...and use this to find the right mix and schemes...a couple more small tweaks and we could become dominant again

Offense...eeeeeeeeeeeeeee.....Hope we have cooked something up that compliments what Strev can do well...and play off that

Hogan, those WRs, the OL, idk take your pick lol. I'm worried about Hogan. He really needs to start showing something, and it isn't going to be made easy for him.

I'd love to see Jjones get used well, I'd like to think that will happen. Hard to find a reason to be optimistic for it, though.

Would make way more sense to use Jones the way they tried to use ayers, and let ayers play his poisition for sure.

Disappointed that practice was canceled today. Understand that there's smoke in the air but my wife and I did 18 at Larters today and she's got Sjogren's Syndrome (Google it.) and she had no problems handling the air quality. These pros gave to suck it up...pardon the bad pun.

The CFLPA has air quality guidelines that dictate the matter. It's not up to the teams.

Think Stoddard....

Depth chart

Biggest issue is that the only depth at receiver is Cobb... that seems like playing with fire. Kramdi at safety is maybe a concern but maybe his brain will help get the assignments right? I dunno. Tbd.

Lot of the non-injury changes I am fine with.

Very good speed for a 285+ lbs Dt. Average jumping ability for the linemen in his draft pool. All of his speed/agi test results are in that range.

Excellent hands, though, good route runner from what I've seen. Looks like a guy who is smart enough to beat zone and help his QB when flushed. So, probably a decent upgrade. And now I'm sad.

Depth at wr is bad, and starting talent at wr is bad. I don't think this wr core is worse than the worst we saw last year, but I think it's getting close.

Well, I am surprised.....on paper the defence looks good...glad teh Parker at safety experiment is finished...all things I have heard is that Kramdi is a very smart x/o guy....I am hoping this leads to improved communication. I think Griffen will look really good. Not sure in J.Jones will see many reps but I feel if he does he may be really hard to keep off....I liked what the d-line did with some more rotation, would like to see them build on last week....

On offence....yikes....let's hope Loften is ready.....interesting that Cooley came on...unless he was "potentially being scooped" of the PR this is an interesting move.....We seem to have two really good possession guys in Corcoran and Clercious, but Stearns, Demski and Wheetfall are IMO not number 1 targets......so, an underwhelming group overall.....Kinda unfortunate Strev. didn't get "real reps" due to air quality....OK so what did Mitchel do...or not do...yikes something going on there.....Let's just let Brady and possibly Cooley eat......

They are making changes and that is what everyone wanted

Offense looks really weak after the injuries and changes but sure seems like they'll go with a strong ground game and aren't being shy about it.

I like what we’ve done with the D. The more Griffin the better.

The problem is that there isn’t a single receiver on the field that forces a defense be honest and our offense, in general, does a terrible job of creating space for these receivers to operate. Couple that with another change on the offensive line and Lofton being terrible in general (he struggled as a right tackle last year, there’s no indication he’ll excel as a blind side blocker) I’m not expecting a lot from our offense.

There is NOTHING on that side of the ball that forces a team to respect what we might plan to do. We saw what that looked like against Calgary.

If you had 2019 Streveler at QB...giddy up.

The fact that he can't change direction anymore and can't reach top speed makes a run heavy, RPO style game a true grind...not just on the D but on him.

I think Corcoran can play.  Going from the receiving corps we have had to just Wheatfall and Sterns on as Americans is pure insanity.

I don't read much into depth chart positions on D.  Will be interesting to see how they deploy the bodies.  Parker moving to corner had to happen.  To take 1/3 of a season to realize Bridges is not a CFL player and Parker is terrible at safety....hmm.

Again...Vaval...what a goddamn fail that we keep running this guy out.  Costs us points and dozes of yards of field position on a weekly basis.  Put someone in there that knows how to catch a punt and at least break even.  I bet Cobb ends the game as returner.
