Interesting. Cooley for bridges. Likely Mitchell for case. Korn and Peterson could be out for Kelly and mackonzo. 2 Canadians. Maybe Cobb gets on tho.

I would expect/hope that for the Canadian spots...id say maybe Bailey for one but if not off PR yet likely not.

So Chase Artopoeus wasn't moved from the practice roster to be the 3rd QB.

Does that still happen tomorrow or do they just list Zach as the 3rd QB?

Was wondering same with possibly Bailey...not sure if you have to have them off PR by certain time

Dressing ZC with no plan to use him is dumb if he hurt..Christ slap him on 6 game...can always pull him off and maybe we can get by 6 weeks and save some coinage

Those are two opposite ideas, you don’t have a lot of control if you have to toe the line.

@JuranBoldenRules spelled it out pretty well in a post in some other thread. We went from four (and sometimes five) man lines with heavy rotation under Hall to three man fronts with little rotation under Younger. Pretty clear Osh let each of them run the D as they saw fit. It also seems clear that after two poor showings against the Stamps some changes were made. No idea if it was forced or Younger’s idea, but it’s a good sign it happened.

It’s counterproductive, and it creates a cyclical problem.

Hall was using a lot of 30 front in the late 19 run actually. He used it differently though. Frequently putting 3 guys out who can pass rush instead of a traditional nose and 4is doing 3t stuff.

We have not used any where near as much 30 this year as we did after the start last year.
We stopped the heavy rotation when stove left, before Jy took over.

Front wise, we’ve flipped between the same stuff from 19 to current multiple times. The 5 man stuff with a hands up rusher moving around went from biggie to jones.
The rotation came back last game.  The big thing that hasn’t come back, is cheetah front 40 where we put out 4 guys who can pass rush. But we haven’t had 4 guys who can pass rush in a long time.

It can't be as clear cut as this either. Man, this is a very cynical take.

Really isn’t an un common happening in sport, or in business. Especially when you have success. maintaining an open minded room that does a good job of incorporating out side views is extremely hard. You have to seek out smart people who are extremely different than you and accept their process.
We don’t do that. We find pieces that match what we already have.
When is the last time an outside person was hired and given a position above scout/position coach? Long long time.
Our coaching and front office approach is the same as our free agency approach. We prioritize our end bench guys over established league guys or blue chip rookies.
So we get the same thing from coaching staffs and management that we get from our players. More of the same.

that’s why our offence does mainly the same things through 3 different ocs. Why our D is basically the same through 2, our teams through 2, and why each group has the same failings through soo many different people.

So Collaros is ruled out for Friday...Non commital on who starting tho?....

Strange eh? Chris seemed a little banged up which could be it, but mos also seemed to turn on Strev in the post. Be wild if we see Wilson start. Don’t see any thing good out of not committing to strevy but we will see.

That’s what we did last year. Zach couldn’t play but stayed on the ar to be on the side line in dress. Hate that move but we probably do the same again.

Peterson to the pr is odd. Guys done every thing you can ask. If I’m a few teams around the league I’d try to claim him. He’s legit.
I like Cooley, but we are struggling to get enough touches for Brady and not showing the ability to use the weapons we have.

Cooley takes Bridges' American spot so I don't think J Jones will be rostered.

Mitchell is a guarantee to be rostered at this point though.

idk. We aren’t flipping bridges for a Canadian. Maybe we start Trey and have him kr to clear up a spot. But I don’t feel like this increases Mitchell’s chance to play. I hope it does, that’d be great.

One thing’s for sure, this ar is going to be interesting to see. It’s gonna be a far cry from the last couple of no change rosters.

Maybe Mitchell, Vaval, and Cooley share the return duties.

As long as no linebackers were impacted by the moves. 🤣

Throw in Cobb too lol

Adding Cooley was the last thing I was expecting.  Case still has to be removed from the AR to IR so there is still an opening for another import. As mentioned, if Mitchell isn't added this week in some capacity, then why are we keeping him around?

Good chance we see Kelly and or Makonzo added to replace Canadians moved to PR.

No, the D has changed. Richie Hall's D relied a lot more on pressure. Younger's is more coverage based.

The change is not as recent, but the O no longer runs primarily through the RB, both passing and running, the way it did when Andrew Harris was starting.

Along with Kornelson and Peterson. Cooley to active roster.

Did they cancel today too or just yesterday? Injury report looked like they practiced today. Smoke inhalation and air quality isn’t just an in the moment thing. The particles in the air build up in your lungs.

Couldn't they have just moved indoors?

Halls D did not rely on pressure. It developed the ability to get pressure with just 4 guys late. Check out the old fire Richie hall thread. It’s all too deep zone not enough pressure talk.
It ran through Harris because he was our 2nd/3rd target as a pass catcher and the run game.
Harris’ career high Carrie’s was 239 in 18, then 225 in 19. Brady had 260 carries in 2023, and 239 in 24. His average carries are right in line as a starter here with Harris, a bit higher.

I believe the indoor facilities are in use by northern fire evacuees, so not available for the team.

My guess is:

Case, Bridges, Peterson, Kornelson OFF

Cooley, Mitchell, Cobb, Schmekel ON

And of course Artopoeus for Collaros

dont see need or use for scmeck...Hoping its Kelly or Makonzo....guys who will have use...especially since we dumped a DB

Corcoran backed up by Cobb is diabolical when you have D Mitchell on the practice roster... that must be new or is the official depth chart messed up? They had him on the 1-game "injury" list the first 8 weeks didn't they?

I don’t mind it. Kramdi at safety. Griffin starting. Jones dressing. I like what I’ve seen from Joey and nice to see Cobb get on. Not a terrible thing actually. I’m thinking we running the ball a bit on O. And Jones got on over Mitchell I suppose. Sorta. I mean. Makes sense when the D is awful. Lofton at tackle.

Parker at CB, Kramdi at Safety, Griffin officially starting at SAM.

Lofton at LT, Vanterpool off.

Jake Kelly on, backing up at S.

Corcoran starts at SB with Cobb on as backup.

Jonathan Jones on to backup at WLB

Dillon Mitchell moved to the PR

That receiving group is god awful...bordering on pathetic...No Mitchell again...why we keeping him?.....we better be run run run with 2 backs on field constantly

I like Parker at corner as thats where he best suited...and Finally Griffin at SAM....Thats gonna help us a ton and maybe Kramdi apparently knowing all the positions will be the field general back there we need.....With Kelly back we have a competent backup for him too

Jones also finally gets to show what he is all about....unless he gets the Ayers treatment and no reps....Don't get the need for Ball tho....coulda used that spot in a better way
