My guess is that ZC may be out for awhile. Just a hunch but he may be dealing with a recurring injury from August 2023, after which his efficiency as a QB began to decline.

Right now, six games or 1/3 into 2025 season, ZC has the worst QB efficiency rating among all the 9 regular starting QBs. Collaros also has the highest INT percentage with 8 INTs vs 7 TDs. Colloros's QB efficiency rating isn't just the worst among starters, at 89.1  it is significantly worse than the others. You could argue Zach has the weakest receiver unit in the league which would contribute to this inefficiency. But looking back at 2024 with a better crop of receivers, Collaros threw 19 INT vs 21 TDs - this includes 4 INTS in the GREY CUP and 4 TDs in West Final - which gave Zach the worst INT percentage last year among QBs who started 10 games or more. That is a total of 28 INT versus 28 TDs in the past 25 games in which Collaros has appeared. Yes you can lay some of that on the receivers. But still.

This is not to take away from Zach's substantial contribution since he arrived here in 2019 - respect! But the decline in Collaros's performance since around August 11 2023 neck injury vs Elks (when Dru Brown came off the bench to win the game) is clear as day.

If thats the case then lets see what Stevelers got. I think he will surprise a few posters.

We can't play Streveler if Zach is making nearly $600,000 a year & Streveler $180,000. Bonus for us (ho boy!) is next year Zach has guaranted money- 50%, so $250-$300,000. No team will pick up his contract for that. Lots of strange decisions were made by Walters this past off season but this is a crippler financially.

I used to think the Collaros extension was for him to groom the next Bomber QB.  But it's clear as long as MOS is in charge, we'll continue to trot him out there hoping he can regain his 2019 form.  After all you can't be great if you don't play (Circa 2023 Bighill and Schoen)!

Anyways this team is a dumpster fire right now.   I really hope that someone has the balls to remove Jake Thomas and Bridges.   And for the love of God, put Dillon Mitchell in.

You don't get better by curing half the problems. Bridges, Kolankowski, Thomas, Tony Jones and probably Kramdi (who has some market value) all need to be moved out STAT.

Yes get rid of our Canadians cuz we totally have the depth to get rid of 3 guys. Don’t even have the depth really to cut Thomas.

WE have four Canadian DT's...more than enough depth as we technically dont even really need one to meet ratio if we choose..We can also use Bailey in that last spot....A Canadian or a Global...so we good

We have Kelly and Makonzo both coming back...Shay...Smith....loltsa Canadian options to supplant pooching the dead weight...

Knew that wasn't it once we moved on from Brown. Everyone knows it in hindsight, but really wanted us to trade Zach for some value while he had it and go young.  Then last off season basically all the young guys took over spots/teams, and the vets dispersed as back ups.

At this point, I hope Elgersma sticks the whole year in the NFL on PRs and is in camp next year. If he ends up here this year, it will likely cost us Artopoeus.  Chase, Elgersma, Wilson, and Strev are likely our best case scenario next TC. short of us making some move to replace one of them with a younger, slightly more experienced cfl guy.

Jake and Kola gotta go. And after that, we need to prioritize young development over mediocre veteran production. Still wouldn't bet that actually happens for the most part.

I think bridges is the only guy who lost his job, Vaval might finally be out as a KR for the year, though he looked solid at db. No reason Parker should continue at S over a guy like Allen. I think Woodbeys physicality would be a massive improvement for us too.

and really for what Kramdi makes....and what he offers....we need to shed that too...can we trade him out east?....or do we just release next yr....no harm no foul as he isnt on any type of guarantee and can drop him before any bonus if he has one

His 135k would be way better served put toward  a real impact LB or a legit receiver....and his best served role for us is a ST giy....dependable backup....but not at that price
