Every roster move for this forum is like that girl in Grade 10 who broke up with you but didn't even touch your wiener anyways. Some of us moved on.

Hey. I haven't posted here for years. Nice to be back. I'm afraid guys like Thomas, Jefferson, Bridges, Tony Jones, Kolankowski, Kramdi and a few others are not the solution. It seems other teams are

Sterns is the perfect 5th guy if we had a stacked group...would kinda fly under radar and reap the benefits of the space and lack of defensive attention...

I think your 3rd imp wr had to be above one of the two nis. I don’t think sterns is the guy to marry in that role. I’d rather take some one like agudosi. You can use sterns in that role but you can use a lot of guys in that role.
He’s got a great motor and ethic. He plays like his last name is hallett.

With schoen on the 6, and two guys who aren’t no1s in Demski/wheatfall, we need either air lifts or a trade.
Wilson could be available mid to late August, but he might not be back at all this year. Schoen might not be back to being a no1/2 this year either.

If we bring in an established guy, we can keep waiting on a guy like sterns. And not have to force wheatfall to try and be no1. If we don’t, we gotta use the two imp spots to shuttle guys and find answers. Atleast one guy a week. But none established guys need more than one week to.

I miss Rasheed Bailey

I agree...we are almost in totally screwed territory

In all honesty...he'd give us more...and has the right attitude...might give the kick in pants some need on this team

Strev. has nothing to complain about, he's getting the same opportunity to play that Dru Brown had in 2023, it's up to him to show every GM in the CFL what he can do with the opportunity provided.  He may top out his career as the Dustin Crum of the West.

I don't think he was complaining (he still went out & did what was asked of him) and he sure wasn't getting the same opportunity as Brown.  His issue wasn't playtime, it was the fact they were using him as a battering ram, rather than as a QB.  He's getting that opportunity now but it definitely wasn't the case last season so he did have a reason to question coming back.

Dustin Crum who, BTW, is putting up a darned good game tonight against the Tigercats.

Yep, Strev is just a Dustin Crum wannabe.

Sorry did not watched last game. How did Person do last game? Vanterpool at LT?

For every one good game he plays, he goes out & plays 5 bad ones. This is his 4th year, at what point do analysts like LaPo stop calling him a young qb?

If Collaros will be out long-term, maybe we need to bring Cameron Duke. At least he has more game experience than Wilson and Artopoeus.

Not good. The score says it all. Person and Vanterpool weren't the only ones who sucked tho.

the list of guys who looked good the last 2 games is probably about 3 names long.

FWIW:

Bomber starting receivers: Wheatfall - 6'1", Clercius - 6'3", Case - 5'10", Demski - 5'11", Sterns - 5'8"

Stampeder starting receivers: Jones - 6'3", Alford - 6'6", Rhymes - 6'4", Brooks - 5'7", Philpot - 6'0"

Bomber starting DBs: Bonds - 5'8", Nichols - 5'9", Parker - 5'8", Holm - 5'11", Bridges - 5'11"

Stampeder starting DBs: Johnson - 6'2", Arnold - 6'1", Webb - 5'11", Grant - 6'0", Greene - 6'1"

I've drawn some conclusions from the height discrepancies.....

Vpool was shaky at best

pretty much...Our coaching tho sucked the most tho...inexcusable after a bye...and playing the same team again who basically changed....nothing...and we still got schooled by them

The way the Bombers played last game, I doubt they could have salvaged even a tie against the Smurfs.

Height had nothing to do with Bridges / Bonds repeatedly taking a dump in their shorts.

Yup they were great at unclamping all night.

I'm 40 yards from the LOS, but imma rush the QB!

Still angry just thinking about it.

Stearns and Case etc. are not terrible, but they are not what we need......They can be fine in the right situation like WBBfan says a 5th forgotten about guy that can use the elusiveness for the odd play...I don't believe that they are #2 quality every down guys...maybe they could be one day but today they are not.....I think I have come to the realization that I am not mad at the individual, it's the situation, yes they "are all starters" but Ayers is not an end, Case is not a #2 receiver, Stearns is not a #2 receiver, Clercious is not a #2 receiver, and Demski nor Wheatfall are not a #1 receiver...Wheatfall may grow into it...maybe.....Heck Wilson if we get him back is not a #1 receiver yet. I get injuries happen and Schoen being out again sucks....but we can't IMO play guys in positions that they not capable of.......well actually you can in say the 5th receiver spot or in certain formations as an example perhaps having Ayers in almost as hybrid a 4 LB set. But you can't play them in elevated positions or we see what we saw the last few games.....Look I like Ayers, but he does not do well at end, I like Stearns and Case if used properly, all three as examples have skill sets.....but we are failing them trying to for lack of a better term square peg, round hole them.

Speaking of round peg square hole, without BA and Biggie, someone needs to communicate better on D...we are missing the leadership/communication...far too often this year we are seeing communication errors......example Holm on two guys...but there have been many......how many crossing routes against us have we seen our guys make an error....I am not sure who it is this year, but if it is Parker and Jones, they need to do better...if it someone else they need to do better, it's week 8........this is preseason mistakes, someone needs to step up and be the guy.....look athleticism is great, but certain roles require other skill sets and it appear to me we are missing many of these other skill sets.....

Person got in, and got a few snaps, perhaps he continues, and we solve the end issue, what we are going to do with the receivers is tough with Schoen out (6 gamed), and Demski being used like he is it's only a matter of time till he gets knicked...I am unsure......

I am also not ready to write off Strev. yet......but he needs guys he can throw to, guys he can build some chemistry with.......that's another thing I have noticed a lack of chemistry between our QB's and our receivers....,How many picks...and heck pick sixes has this cost us this year....

We need a big body inside, with some experience.......like Logan Stanley

The switchoffs between our CBs and DHBs, in zone.... have looked horrendous.  Teams are killing us on the crossing routes on both under layers (slow LBs) and over ( confused DBs)

Part our issues too i think is the constant rotating of guys...kills cohesive aspect never mind getting guys in a groove....and no wonder we seem to have a lot of communication lapses...even if guys know the position...its not the same with instinctive movement and reacting without thinking...my opinion big issue

Yes......it's like I said, we seem to to be missing the communication aspect....the communication has seemed to be poor......I think this is also amplifying guys being slower.

It's so frustrating because on defence we have been "mostly" healthy
