JuranBoldenRules Posted 4 hours ago Report Posted 4 hours ago If Person isn't taking 1/3 of Willie's reps right from the get-go I'll be really disappointed. Need to get Willie rolling and that means fewer reps. He's awful when he's playing 90%. captaincanuck12 Posted 3 hours ago Report Posted 3 hours ago Our d-line needs to be in Adams face all night. We cannot give him time to get comfortable. And that usually means less Jake Thomas. As for the offense, yeah not really thrilled about this receiving core.... And I really hope the o-line can step up without Bryant and open holes for Brady. captaincanuck12 Posted 3 hours ago Report Posted 3 hours ago (edited) Perhaps what should be done is create a specific thread just dedicated to roster talk and move all the discussions of it there. The roster discussions tend to be a majority of the communication during the pre-game and game day threads.. which IMO are not the point of the thread. What say you MBB nation? Who wants to create a Roster Management 2025 thread and keep the pre-game and game day threads clean of roster decision talk? Edited 3 hours ago by captaincanuck12 Noeller 1

I hate the whining as much as anyone, but if you're not talking about the roster for the game, then what are you talking about? How we're deploying our roster is a big part of "discussing the game" (which I think is the GDT, by definition...) Bigblue204 and BomberBall. 2

Goalie Posted 2 hours ago Report Posted 2 hours ago (edited) I don’t see how you talk about Game Day in the Game Day Thread without mentioning who isn’t and isn’t playing. I mean I understand it’s repetitive and honestly extremely repetitive but it is what it is. I don’t think you can avoid speaking of the roster on game day. I mean honestly if I’m being legit, this is probably the best roster since last year sometime. Ppl here push for guys they like, same thing they accuse O’Shea of, which is believing in some guys 2 much, they do the same in these unknowns. Generally the unknowns end up not really working out. But it is what it is. I don’t think you can avoid it tho. I mean I’m not trying to mention any players names here cuz good god that’s roster talk. Zach Collaros. I couldn’t do it. all this roster talk don’t matter if Zach collaros decides to not modify his game. Dude needs to realize we can’t go 80 yards in 2 throws anymore. Dude needs to take the short stuff, don’t throw into triple coverage. Until that changes, it don’t matter who is or isn’t playing. Edited 2 hours ago by Goalie

Actually I wish they'd spend less time focusing on the game and turn the cameras on the stands. 🙄
captaincanuck12 Posted 2 hours ago Report Posted 2 hours ago (edited) Fair points all around, I'm NOT trying to ban all roster talk, especially on game day. It is part of the game, and there’s legit analysis in how the roster is deployed. I guess where I’m coming from is that in the lead-up to the game, it feels like we’re stuck in a loop. Every week, the pre-game thread turns into “why is this guy dressed?” and “why is this guy still starting?”—and it’s the same exact arguments, just copy/pasted with new timestamps. Meanwhile, deeper football discussion—like matchups, tendencies, coaching decisions, even basic excitement about the game—gets buried. I think we’d get more out of both if we gave roster discourse its own space where people can go as deep or repetitive as they want without drowning everything else out. Imagine a dedicated “Roster Management 2025” thread where folks can: Debate the PR guys getting starts Vent about the GM’s decisions Track the depth chart shuffles week to week And then the Pre-Game thread could focus more on stuff like: What we think the offensive game plan will be Who’s going to have a breakout game What we need to do to stop [opponent’s key players] I think there’s space for both types of discussion. Just trying to keep things from feeling stale or one-dimensional. Just my .02. Anyways, enjoy the game to those who are going. I will be there as well and enjoying a beautiful Manitoba Summer night! Soo you want to restrict talking about the blue bombers roster on a blue bombers forum in the blue bomber discussion section? You don’t want roster and player discussion in the game day thread? What discussion do you expect to see? Have you checked what threads actually see active posts week to week? You’d kill off more than you’d realize. Im not seeing a bunch of other bomber discussions getting de-railed by roster discussion. Maybe make a thread for what you want and see how it goes. Booch and HardCoreBlue 1 1

rebusrankin Posted 2 hours ago Report Posted 2 hours ago 8 straight sellouts and believe we're getting close on selling out the Toronto game is pretty remarkable. The club has done a great job marketing the team and creating things that appeal to a wide variety of fans. wbbfan Posted 2 hours ago Report Posted 2 hours ago 8 minutes ago, Atomic said: Yeah the root of the issue is that there are only like 8 people who post here anymore so of course it gets repetitive The twisted reality of sports fandom, is that championships and sustained success leads to a heavy drop off in “hard core” fans, and a heavy uptick in “casuals” (casuals tend to spend much more on the teams at that.) I’ve seen it happen with each successful period of time here, in other football hotbeds, basketball, baseball etc. bad teams in good markets have tremendous pools of hard core fans, and amazing in depth stuff during tcs, spring training, drafts, trade dead lines etc. If the leafs finally win the cup, their online groups and forums will collapse over a couple years.
