2 Peterson  stepped in for Brady, over 130 yards on 23 carries. didn’t miss a beat

3 wheatfall 5 127 and 1td with 69 yac

hh the first td pass to Demski really set a high tone for the offence and game

crunch of the game mci with the pop forcing a fumble and turn over on kick cover

block of the game big Stan way down field blocking for the screen pass to wheatfall

awe that’s dirty. Strevs throw away in the 4th he was hit late and hit in the head and with no call while bc chirped him.

1. The D. Rourke was 1 of 10 for 60 yards until some fluke Hail Marys really.
2. Peterson. - he showed if Brady out a bit he’s capable. Solid blocker also.

3. Strev - he had a good game.

HH goes to Ayers on special teams but in reality it would go to Gauthier for stepping up to long snap.

and I’ll give flowers to Vaval. Who looks like a legit threat.

It would be hard to only pick three guys,  the score really flattered BC.

1 - D-line holding Butler to under 30 yards.

2 - O-line for opening big holes for Peterson.

3 - Peterson for running hard and as Suitor mentioned making key blocks.

HH - Griffin

Strev - **** you to anyone who says he can't play QB

Rookie RB - To not be overwhelmed in the moment is almost unbelievable, given the circumstances.

Vaval - Not even our best returner and looked fantastic..

HH - The Trinity for walking around with a 2 footer and a wheelbarrow.

Dear CFL,

We just did that you your golden child without our QB, our MOP RB, our Returner, and not close to our best possible defense.

Watch. The ****. Out.

I would hope that we use CS more effectively with ZC to keep the defences on their heels. CS demonstrated tonight he is more than a decoy and shot yardage guy.

And for as much **** as Jake takes. He noticeably pushed the pile into Masoli on  the last bridges int.

Very slow still... he had open lanes to Rourke in the first quarter and was always a few steps short from getting a sack despite being untouched.

1) Strev - Hes a genuine QB with intellignce and an active arm and proved it tonight.

2 ) The Oline Kept Strevy mostly clean and opened holes for the running game

3) Vaval - I think we got a fearlous returner who might ease the grieve over losing Grant finally

Sacks aren’t a thing anymore really. It’s the pressure. He generated a bunch.

And was washed away alot...or just held up in place as play went past him

6 to 10 reps a game to give Lawson and Adams a breath is fine...but the majority of snaps he has no business taking

I wouldn't say a bunch but he did several times...but when he is out there rep after rep hes just bagged and useless

All the yards were 2 long throws. That’s it. Our dbs got beat twice. Parker and bonds. Butler non existent so DL LB did an ok job.

9 defensive tackles.  1 TFL, 7 other tackles within 5 yards of LOS.

Not going to see many better games from a MAC LB in the league.

Just seemed slow to me. Vaughters also but yup stats say otherwise.

Did things that don't show up on the stat sheet too. Absolutely demolished his blocker and generated pressure through force when sent

Something no one has mentioned so far was I thought Hogan called a hell of a game. We’re going to score a lot of points this season whether it’s number 17 or number 8, I really enjoyed some of the X’s and O’s He drew up. I think you’re going to see an opportunity for good receivers to make plays often in this offense.

Vanterpool in for Dobson is a major upgrade up front too.

Vanterpool would be my player of the game.

Here's a stat for you:

Peterson averaged 130 yards per game in his last 2 years of U Sports.

130 yards rushing in his first CFL game.  Took a few more carries to get there than it did in U Sports...but still.

That was good, but I give this to Ayers on special teams earlier.

I loved the iq he showed and how he beat his man around the edge then bursted into the kr on that play. He’s soo crafty and explosive it’s great to watch. I thought mci had a bit bigger pop but either is a good pick.

I’ll add. I think they could replace Tony with Jon Jones. Tony seems slow.

I like tony jones but he’s limited. He’s a run stopper and a teams guy. Too much of a liability in pass d.

yep griffin had a gooder again. Vaughters could’ve been an honourable mention too. Having Lawson adams and him really freed up Willy and adams.

That’s the difference between him playing every defensive snap and 3rd most dt snaps. Still useful if he’s limited.

Very excited from what he showed. Some great passing concepts. Really gave Strev a playbook he could succeed with. Can’t wait to see him with zach next week.
