2025 CFL (Non-Bombers) Season

From 3DN about TSN broadcasts this year....

"The CFL on TSN is taking a renewed approach to its broadcasts for 2025.

The network’s panel will travel to all nine stadiums over the course of the upcoming season, sources told 3DownNation, including visits to Regina and Montreal in Week 1. Kate Beirness is returning to host the panel with Henoc Muamba and Davis Sanchez filling the main roles alongside her.

Paul LaPolice will also frequently appear on the panel, though he will also perform colour commentary for one game per week. As previously reported, longtime panelist and Hall of Fame quarterback Matt Dunigan is no longer with the network.

As for Milt Stegall, who has been with the network since 2009, there is no timeline for his return after the death of his eldest son, Chase. The 20-year-old died unexpectedly at DePaul University on Monday where he was a member of the school’s soccer team.

“Our CFL on TSN family is absolutely devastated over Chase’s passing. If you know Milt, you know that his family is everything to him, and we cannot imagine the pain he is going through right now,” said producer Chris Edwards in a statement to 3DownNation. “Milt is our brother and we are going to give him our love and support him in any way we can, and in whatever way he needs.”

During a broadcast teeing up the 2025 season on Tuesday, TSN dedicated its coverage this year to Chase’s memory.

TSN plans to flesh out the panel by rotating in active players, though it doesn’t appear as though this will happen every week. Players will generally make panel appearances during bye weeks, though there may also be opportunities for in-studio appearances when players are in town to play the Argonauts or Tiger-Cats.

Friday Night Football, a longtime network staple, will have a brand new presentation featuring fresh animations, graphics, and music. One source called the scope of the production “bigger.”

The play-by-play personnel at the network has remained unchanged for 2025, featuring Rod Smith, Dustin Nielson, Marshall Ferguson, and occasionally Farhan Lalji. Colour commentary will be performed by Glen Suitor, Duane Forde, and LaPolice."

Honestly the main selling point of the CFL are the timing rules of the final 3 minutes.  And arguably the most boring part of any NFL game when a team with a one score lead can just bleed the clock un

any rate, we all thought Harris was fragile, and we were all right.

An MOP season derailed by injury! Damn the luck!

In Harris' defense... that was kind of a greasy play. Tensions were high after the Duncan-Busby chop block that took out George with a gnarly knee injury (which for some reason is only a 10 yard penalty) and you would be hard pressed to convince me that the late hit on Harris wasn't retaliatory on the very next play

yup....greasy still counts tho in the injury game....he definitely got the concuss there and you could see it too by his body reaction after it slammed to the turf...the fact that these wishy washy CFL spotters who have yanked guys for far less didnt have him evaluated right then and there is laughable too....as it was clear as day he got rung....and was feeling it

For sure....I just know that when I played and the HC came and asked you if you would consider learning LSing that it was never a good sign. lol

Osh has said that he wonders why more guys don’t practice it as a means to increase your value as a player.

MBT to start for the Als tomorrow.

sucks to see the CFL's three most promising young quarterbacks -- Rourke, Brown, Alexander -- all hurt early in the season.

I can't remember a season with more high-profile injuries than this one.

Why is it them poor Roughriders is always the ones to be accused of knocking players out for the season with questionably dirty hits?

Season after season, they is so unfortunate.

Culture of Douchebaggery

Came to the conclusion last night that it's Davis Sanchez that is bringing down the discussion on the panel this season. His takes are bland & uninteresting. He just seems to be filling in time going thru the motions as a panelist.

Sanchez adds nothing to the discussion. Absolutely no chemistry at all with Muamba & Bierness which leads to her trying even harder to be funny if that is to be believed. It only makes things worse. There was more chemistry between Dave Naylor & Henoc Muamba (who is always excited) last night than between he & Sanchez all year. Naylor should be a regular on that panel with his connections with CFL management & players. I find his comments interesting.

TSN needs to do something, something in the panel is off. I think Kate is good at speaking and her presence, but the "character" they have her doing isn't working with the viewers. I also feel Henoc has great energy but is not a clear, polished speaker.....he is mumbly, I think he has been poorly cast, he can add something to the panel, but not as a mainstay IMO.

I feel like Kate would do better if she was just herself instead of this character that she and/or TSN thinks she should play.

she'd do a better job covering basketball so we didnt have to see her

I don't know why it has to be so "fun". The best panel ever was Randorf, Dunigan, Climie and Schultz and they took it seriously and gave great commentary. Why can't we have that again?

Because we need entertainment! The game is boring! Send in the clowns!

Hate that assclown. Always have, always will. Just a sanctimonious arrogant piece of s**t through and through who absolutely hated the Bombers.

I was just about to say I wonder what the excuses will be for not selling out. It’s a Saturday night like they all asked for.
