2025 CFL (Non-Bombers) Season

From 3DN about TSN broadcasts this year....

"The CFL on TSN is taking a renewed approach to its broadcasts for 2025.

The network’s panel will travel to all nine stadiums over the course of the upcoming season, sources told 3DownNation, including visits to Regina and Montreal in Week 1. Kate Beirness is returning to host the panel with Henoc Muamba and Davis Sanchez filling the main roles alongside her.

Paul LaPolice will also frequently appear on the panel, though he will also perform colour commentary for one game per week. As previously reported, longtime panelist and Hall of Fame quarterback Matt Dunigan is no longer with the network.

As for Milt Stegall, who has been with the network since 2009, there is no timeline for his return after the death of his eldest son, Chase. The 20-year-old died unexpectedly at DePaul University on Monday where he was a member of the school’s soccer team.

“Our CFL on TSN family is absolutely devastated over Chase’s passing. If you know Milt, you know that his family is everything to him, and we cannot imagine the pain he is going through right now,” said producer Chris Edwards in a statement to 3DownNation. “Milt is our brother and we are going to give him our love and support him in any way we can, and in whatever way he needs.”

During a broadcast teeing up the 2025 season on Tuesday, TSN dedicated its coverage this year to Chase’s memory.

TSN plans to flesh out the panel by rotating in active players, though it doesn’t appear as though this will happen every week. Players will generally make panel appearances during bye weeks, though there may also be opportunities for in-studio appearances when players are in town to play the Argonauts or Tiger-Cats.

Friday Night Football, a longtime network staple, will have a brand new presentation featuring fresh animations, graphics, and music. One source called the scope of the production “bigger.”

The play-by-play personnel at the network has remained unchanged for 2025, featuring Rod Smith, Dustin Nielson, Marshall Ferguson, and occasionally Farhan Lalji. Colour commentary will be performed by Glen Suitor, Duane Forde, and LaPolice."

Honestly the main selling point of the CFL are the timing rules of the final 3 minutes.  And arguably the most boring part of any NFL game when a team with a one score lead can just bleed the clock un

It's a joke, but what do you expect the guy to do when they bring in his replacement 3 days after he's concussed, nothing much has changed, the player says he's good to go and the HC says ok.  Trainer can't see inside his head.

One more hit & they're both done for the season.

but tests now from a doctor can 100% tell you of they should be sat down...plus 5 days between a concussion and back to being smacked around is just asking for a repeat issue...if not worse

I don't expect anything from someone with a brain injury.  I expect the coaching staff to do the right thing for the player's health and safety,  With what we know about concussions these days, there's no excuse for those guys to be back out there that quickly.

Tua Tagovailoa is great example of money before a persons health.

Technically professional trainers/medical professionals are trained in concussion tests/protocols and based on the results (even if an athlete is lying) can detect concussion severity/impact on athlete. I think its more the varying thresholds teams employ in holding back an athlete unfortunately.

Great example would be the current NHL playoffs. How many players are/were playing concussed? Professional Sport is a business that can be ruthless on a players health.

Dru Brown is out for Ottawa this week

Missed quite a few games last season as well, he's not built to take a pounding.  I guess Mathew Shiltz gets another shot with Tyrie Adams on the 1 game IR.

Both teams are putting on a Bad Football clinic. Oops there’s a Rider missed FG 😂

For the love of Gawd, please deep six straight fire. CFL halftime broadcasts need a full makeover.

Aj O’s head barely fits in his helmet. I’m hoping he’s not risking short term ‘success’ for long term ill effects.

Mitchell tosses a pick, he’d better watch out or he may get Rourke’s title as the Best (not really) QB in the league.

Where do trees come from?

Where do bunnies come from?

where does bad announcing come from?

I feel like there should be a fire milanovich thread somewhere god hamilton sucks

LMFAO he looks terrible along with the rest of the hamilton shitcats. Hope Lawler and the rest of the former Bombers who jumped ship are enjoying themselves.

Short career, CFL not that great of a paying league, don’t really give him that hard of a time chasing the money other than you’re dead to me.

I’d normally agree. However, his complete screwing up of his time here, and mediocre production over all for elite money, I do blame him for not making good here.
We sat through that dui and his in too much of a child to take care of my passport crap. While paying him stupid money. His inability to stay healthy was a big part of leaving our wr core gutted.

In the end, if you have no loyalty or accountability you deserve none. If it had just been injuries I wouldn’t blame him. But he screwed up more than once in a big way and it cost us. Chasing bank after that makes him a grease ball.

Fair, as I said he’s dead to me so he’s a distant memory.

They are trying so hard to hype mid tier guys into some thing they aren’t.

Every thing in Hamilton has been downward since we crushed them in 19.
Hammy needs to clean house and let Ted do a full proper build.

Fine, Lauther was putrid, probably shouldn’t have been as close at it was.

BLM can basically lob deep balls and hope someone runs under it or lob a 20-30 yard pass horizontally to someone open in the flat and hope they have half a second to make someone miss if the coverage is worried about a deep shot.

Cannot attack anything else.

His arm is cooked.
