I hope it's nice. I'm getting a nice treat that game. Was nominated for coach of the week. My club (Rods) get $500 donation and I'm getting a $100 GC to the Bomber store and get to go on the field for

Mitchell's salary was 148,000 in hard money, including a $63,300 signing bonus.

Think it was telling at halftime Holm mentioned to tsn that they were clean on their communication. Tells me that a lot of the problems the secondary has experienced were communication related.

It seemed to improve the last couple games, hopefully it continues to improve

In spite of Crum and Ottawa's O looking compent towards the end and our Defence looking gassed, I thought our D had a decent outing. The better communication, the insertion of a couple of taller guys, although rookies, in the secondary, and better D-line play with greater rotation gives me hope for the future. I liked Allen's play and I think that Vaval can be a solid DB, too. Schmekel was a revelation yesterday. (I watched him closely during the Stamps game, in which he played well, too.) The guy is enthusiastic and has a motor. I didn't like some of Younger's play calling in the 4th though. Too often I saw 3 guys on the line and 9 off by 5-10 yards. Souter said that they were daring Ottawa to run but I saw Ottawa saying....okay, we can run but we can also pass. And, they took advantage of it. Our offence, well, that's for another posting.

D looked good overall but I would have liked to see some adjustments from Younger. I get you’re playing to a two score lead late but literally all Crum has is the short pass. He can’t hit those intermediate to deep routes, the schemes were playing as if Dru Brown was in the game. I just would have liked to see them be a little more agressive.

To be frank, I'm not an Xs and Os guy but I agree that they were too passive.

There wasn't enough time for Ottawa to do that twice (which they needed to do) so I don't hate the D playing that way.  Worst thing to do is give up a quick score. Got to make the O earn it with a long mistake free drive.

They were also worried about crums legs

Playing upwards of 9 guys all 10 yards off the l.o.s just invites him to run and et up yards, and in a game where a lot of guys were having issues tackling....is a bad plan

Nah blitzing invites him to run for 20-30 when there is no one left after he beats the rush.

I found it odd they weren’t really putting a spy on Crum, or if they did the spy was getting totally washed out.

Bombers are 4th in the league in points scored through 9 games. Hamilton killing everyone then Toronto then Ottawa (played 10 games tho) then us then Sask (played 8 games ) so after 9 games bombers have more points than every team in the west prob minus Sask (they need to score 15 points to pass the bombers total) more than Montreal and less than Hamilton Ottawa and Toronto. Kinda middle of the pack in terms of points scored.

Defensively around 4th or 5th again.

bombers are the definition of average this year. Both O and D are average. We have given up 5 or 6 more points than we have scored. For all the Hamilton has a great D talk they have given up more points than us but have also scored way more than us.

So Cam Allen, why was he not in the lineup the first 8 games. He looks like a future star.

Daddy O'Shea knows best. Duh.

So far Mitchell has not looked anything like a great receiver or worth his salary.

I have to admit that I was fit to be tied while watching the second half last night. Fortunately, I was watching with my 8 year-old grandson and 5 year-old granddaughter and some Lego blocks so I kept it under control. I might have auggested that the coaches should be fired but in a nice way, sort of.

Anyway, after a sleep, I think that things are shaping up with the D and with the injuries to the DBs in particular, the team will be forced into bringing in some bodies that may develop. Younger seems competent enough although I didn't like his schemes towards the end of the game.

Special teams are coming along pretty well, too, that hiccup of a TD return against them excepted. They still take the odd unnecessary penalty though. I like Vaval and I'm beginning to appreciate Sheehan. Sergio, well, he's no Medlock but he's Sergio so that's quite alright.

As for the offence, I'm not as positive about them. I hope that Hogan's Zero can figure it out (soon) but I'm not holding my breath. Collaros surprised me with that run to set up the FG so perhaps a few more roll-out plays should be called for, although not too many of those where he has to throw across his body. I'm just hoping for a competent O but I'm concerned that the go-to-guy for the long ones is Demski.

I'm hoping for them to make the playoffs and since this is rhe CFL where anything can happen......

Go Bombers Go!

I not overly concerned with the defense...injuries and all...we have pieces to be successful and it's a matter more of how we use them, and some we shouldn't use.....A couple more small yweeks and allowing a few guys to grow as they go and we should be alright...scheme at times is still a bit questionable but we have the athletes for the most part to be real good

Offense.....yikes.....Oline isnt the issue many make it out to be...we just need to stick with the same 5 guys......and try a different center if not for anything to show we are actually trying to be better

OC is an issue.....and when you don't have really any offensive weapons that scare anyone...and a running back who is definitely not 100 percent, your in for some tough sledding...why we haven't been bringing in legit wr guys constantly thru this first 8 weeks is a bit concerning....big bodied types....burners...and ones also who have return skills too

For a yr we have chance to play in the Cup in our own back yard, the way we have gone about everything since January is disappointing to say the least...and sadly, not shocking

Yep, it is disappointing. I would have considered opening the bank (darn any penalties) for another FA or two or different FAs. I have to wonder what Miller/Walters were thinking. (The extension for Collaros is one of many head-scratchers.) Having said that, I believe they'll be playoff bound (probably without a home game) and if the D continues to grow and the currently cringe worthy O can at least become more consistent, we have a shot.

The centre is terrible, but if Big Stan is healthy the OL is decent.

But Big Stan is a rapidly depreciating asset.

Serviceable when healthy, I am speaking only of this season.

I think it's safe to say this will be his final season.

By far the worst starting Center in the CFL. Osh sure plays his favourites.

Even the TSN commentstors are starting to mention it.

We have a lot of the worsts in the CFL right now but the big one is that we have the worst starting QB

BBs QB situation is a mess.  As bad as Collaros is he gives us a better chance to win than with Streveler.

Here,s hoping we can get some young QB that has potential to be a legit and competent CFL starter in 2026.

Think he's actually doing a pretty good job of making chicken salad out of chicken ****.

Oliviera looks like he's about 70%.  Have one go-to guy in Demski.  Sterns seems somewhat reliable.  Everyone else is a basketcase.  So his best receivers are the two guys under 5'10.

OL is not assignment sound.  Wallace is physical, but can be easily tricked to chase a block and give up the most direct route to the QB/ball carrier.  Discipline and awareness not there yet.  Kolankowski and Neufeld get beat straight up more often than not.  Randolph has been the only consistent piece.

and Wallace just needs to be kept in his spot to get valuable reps and grow...we fine there... and have some future pieces tho we need to either draft a legit starter potential guys as a rookie or actually dip into FA and make a meaningful signing

Following up on this, is Wallace a guy that its worth it to deal with the growing pains now for future gains? I think so but you have more technical knowledge.
