Apparently Reggie White told the Bombers after camp that he would hang around on the PR for a week but if they didn't have a spot on the active roster for him after that, he had to leave the team and take care of his family... via MOS on the CJOB coaches show

That makes lots of sense. Though I’d think they could’ve been giving him his full salary still.

Knowing that they should have put him on the 1 game and stuck Mitchell on the PR, at least White showed up ready to play.

he could have been paid his full pay or close to...PR money is just the minimum...teams can and have paid more

Lawler now 3-11 record in games he's played for other CFL teams.

His career record with Nichols, Collaros and Brown....34-8.

6-17 with any other QB's including Streveler.

Lawler's a Money Player. He doesn't play well in championhip games. He's a Money Player in the sense that he just follows the money trail after every contract. There's a difference with guys like Ken Ploen, Jackie Parker, Warren Moon or Doug Flutie. They always seemed to bring their best performances in their biggest games. You could always count on them to perform to the best of (if not more) of their abilities. Lawler just goes where he'll get paid. The angry Lawler we see after every catch is such an act.

For what its worth i work with a guy who is buddies with a relative of Oliveira, and he was told Brady's going to be out 4-6 weeks with a sprained shoulder.

Update:

Oliveira is feeling much better than expected over the last 24 hours and may possibly only miss 1 game. He apparently said that he even hopes to suit up this weekend, but i would think thats highly unlikely. Its a long season and im sure the Bombers would err on the side of caution with him, especially with how Peterson looked.

My conclusion: Brady is Wolverine.

I guess if they thought he was worth his full salary they would have kept him on the active roster

And Cooley.

Situation is kind of bizarre though.  Unless he had some extreme pain going they must have had some indication on initial assessment of the PT's/sideline docs that there is structural issue.

Awesome pick. We aren't going full doman or any thing, but the bands we've got for the game stuff so far are awesome picks.

Could have been less serious than everyone thought. And they just rested him as precaution. No one from the Bomber org has ever addressed the seriousness of the situation. The "missing multiple weeks" narrative came from one person as far as I can tell. One person who is continuously incorrect about all things CFL.

Saw them at the Forks on a Canada day years ago. They were great!

Not sure why they have Ed Tait doing these in depth player interviews, he's like a fish out of water.  They should find an ex-footballer that has more in common  with the players and can discuss football intelligently with a bit of insight, maybe BA can take this over as a side job.

Send the in-depth interviewees to the MBB community and we’ll ‘grill’ them in our own unique ways.

Pure gold, pure entertainment.

Doug brown would be my pick.

I watched the one with zach today, it was soo painful they kept talking about people turning it off and I couldn’t get why they saw that but couldn’t turn it around.

I enjoyed that Handled Internally.... Most of those pods are solid. It's just them BSing over beers, which is what I want. Darren is very careful about what kind of info gets out there, but I like when the players are loose (the beer helps) and give us a bit of an inside view of the room.

Yeah that was bad...should be 2 former players doing it

Good job for Walby and Duniggan

Or let Biggie and BA do it

You still need to have someone that actually knows how to talk and host a conversation. Have DT or someone else from OB act as the host of it, but THEN you can have your former players or whatever... But at least someone needs to be able to facilitate a conversation.
