What would bode well for us...even not factoring in who may or may not sign in FA or re-up from our current FA's is that going into camp....Positions are all up for grabs, and the best players, and ones who also show nice upside on top of it, get the spots....and That goes for all positions...you have some key vets that obviously stay..WJ...Lawson...Nichols...Holm...Griffen...Bonds...Ayers...Wilson...Adams...Woods...Bryant..Neuf..Wallace...Eli..BO...Demski...Mitchel....not Myron...Castilla...ZC...Clercius...Lawler and or Schoen if signed....MCI...QB Wilson...after that....take the cream of the crop....best of the best....sort out who and where you designate Nats and Imps when you have your 46 main guys....

When is last time we have done that?....not in this run we havnt...and we now on the backside of the success...and teetering

AND we can't afford to be pushed or over we go.....Can't lose any key guys in fa...We could sraighten out one position and that would be to bring back Janarion....Have to pay him ...Walters can see what the results were in our return game last year when we didn't....Wasn't pretty

and really...what he make last yr?....friggin peanuts too....total head scratcher what we were doing there...hardly a spot that ate up big bucks and we needed to cut cost...There were multiple other spots making a lot more...and giving us cacka for it

Hollins dropped off last year. Great first 5 games or so and then pretty meh production. Guessing they need the $ to try to keep McInnis.

I could see him here.  They seem to be collecting that type of receiver.  Hollins is a real technician but he's small and not the kind of guy to get too dirty.  They brought in about 20 guys they hoped would be a Hollins here last year.  Wilson was good and the rest looked surprised somebody would think about paying them to play football.

Let slugs like JT and Kolo come to camp...as fodder and purge them for youth and upside...frees up about 300k for elsewhere....shave 140k off to fill their spots with entry level guys and you still have a nice 140...150k to use

We had B.O...Lawler and Schoen all last yr...no reason why we cant swap Lewis for Schoen to make it work....If you aint cheating you aint trying.....there's ways to circumvent the cap....abuse the bejesus outta that marketing money before the league eliminates or caps that.

Too much belief is allocatted that you need all these vets to be sucessful...no...you need ballers...surround them with a solid 10 or so 4-5yr+ guys and a smattering of 2nd and 3rd yr guys and you will be just fine if you play your best talent...and actually coach them and not go thru the country club atmosphere admiring how you did it 5 yrs agao

We need one or both of them. BC Also released Hollins too today. Hope the Bombers consider one of them or all three of them.

Sure pick up Hollins if you want to bring dissension into the locker room, he's one of the guys that voted for Adams over Rourke and lost, not smart enough to keep his big mouth shut.

Very few players on any CFL team buy homes in the city where they play. Why would they? Most contracts are only 1 or 2 years in length. This has nothing to do with affordability. The only exceptions might be the local guys, like Picton in Regina or Oliviera in Winnipeg. Heck, even Collaros is not a home owner in Winnipeg, he owns a home near Barrie, Ontario.

I agree with this, the guy is a hothead and likes to yap about everything. I would take McInnis over Hollins in a heartbeat ....

That's on the scouting dept for not finding anyone. Other teams can yet we struggle for a legit returner. So bad was it last year we used a backup rookie running back who dressed for 3 or 4 games as a returner.

Funny story... I was in a waiting room a few weeks ago and these two older fellows (in their 60s probably) were talking about the Bombers... one was asking if they should try to get Vernon Adams (this was already AFTER he was traded to and sign an extension with Cgy) and the other guy was explaining that they need to make sure they have cap room first, which they won't know until FA opens... then he started talking about contracts with option windows... I kinda just chuckled to myself... I don't think he got one thing right in the entire 5-10 min convo those two dudes had... I would've been there for a long time if I wanted to correct them... anyways, that the kind of info you'll find on Facebook chats

This is why I have a hard time discussing sports with normies in real life... we got the die hards here who hang on every piece of news so trying to talk to people who get their info from tsn during games only.... aye yi yi....

Yeah Facebook exists to have a group chat with people where we can dump whatever random thoughts we have out there and share pictures of kids so grandparents can pretend to be involved in their activities.
