Really easy to always say that there's some mystical coach out there that would be a better fit.  We've been through generations as CFL fans watching teams including our own who keep believing that.

Sacks were down all over the league last year.  Every team seemed to de-emphasize pressure in favor of coverage.  No one player hit double digits in sacks.

Imo, the change happened because holding has become extremely rare on the ol. Ols have adjusted and mug freely, so defences aren’t playing for quick pressures because it just doesn’t happen consistently enough.

It’s only a matter of time before teams adjust pressure tactics though.

good point. Pass rushing is one of the hardest jobs in the cfl to succeed at. Up there with fixing the culture in Saskatchewan.

Absolutely gut wrenching

I hope Milt and his family have a strong support network. This is absolutely crushing. I hope Milt knows we all wish we could comfort him and his family in any way we could as a Bomber family.

Sports is a distant second to family and health.

RIP Chase.

My money is on Jake Thomas.

Not sure which is funnier, JT being that hard on himself. Or him posting to MBB in between snaps mid-game

Thats why I am....err I mean he's so slow off the snap and tippy toeing around behind the play....dont want my Razor flip to fall outta my pants

Someone seriously thought we needed an entire article to justify cutting Myron Mitchell?

It's just a reprint of what O'Shea said on the Coach's Show last night, didn't you tune in???  If they didn't publish it, doubt anyone would know.

Boy I don't think any one else wouldve said the wr position group was excellent

I mean we PR'd Reggie White who looked pretty good, have Sterns and Dillon Mitchell active, one of whom won't likely be able to dress when we have to put together a game roster.  All 3 of those guys are 750-800 yard receivers in this league in their careers so far (projected 18 games).  It's deep.  Probably missing the number of high end guys we're used to unless Wheatfall's pre-season carries into real games.

Hamilton's next American receiver up is Josh Johnson.

It's all hearsay on guys who've barely played until real games start.

well our roster is all number ones..all the time....why would you think otherwise lol....For all Osh's goodness he talks out his hiney a hella lots

It's okay to say..."you guys sucked butt...we need to see more from this group....that group....if anything it puts a fire under some guys, especially the young hungry ones...and it also eliminates complacency and country club vibes...whish has killed us 3 yrs running

even those 2 guys looked like a big ol bag of blah....Like i said in another post...Dress Logan and while he out Colley as the fifth....and integrate them in the "reciever" spot, and allow MCI to develop in a TE/Hybrid role....dual guys...sometimes 3 in motion outta the back filed with Demski.....good luck figuring that out d-coordinators

Plus you save a valuable DA spot for an extra defensive guy

Cobb can hand returns until Logan ready, and let Cooley learn it...we are used to average at best returns as of late anyway and we survived...a couple more games wont kill us

722/727 yards is the career high between all 3, in 15 and 18 games. Whites was before a disastrous injury, and Mitchell has been a fraction of what he showed in his rookie half year. I don't think any of those 3 are highly projectable. And like I said, they haven't been excellent.

Our wr core is a mile wide and an inch deep. That inch, is mostly schoen.

He said they've been excellent here in camp and pre-season.

Other tidbits from the show, Global punter Evans refused PR offer, he signed with Riders today.

Cooley was O'Shea's favourite player in pre-season, loved how he played without the ball, absolutely punished players he blocked.

Osh encapsulated his mindset and how he goes about roster perfectly in that article....“You go back and watch (Dillon’s) film from years past and you understand how capable he is and how good he can be,” said O’Shea.

Live in the now dude....not the past...he of all people should know at times even 2..3 yrs is a lifetime away in a football players shelf life....Thats the crap thinking of his that neuters us all over the field

Should have been Sheehan refusing....Doubt he'd be signing with riders....again...thats the kind of stuff killing us....keeping lesser talent for hold overs

is he military?...hahahaha

Potentially Mitchell gets back to the form he displayed previously and potentially White rebounds to what he did previously and potentially Wheatfall breaks out in year. Of course, as Charles Barkley once said, potential is a french word for has not done it yet.
