While I would like to see a proven DT like Baron brought in, I doubt it happens as DT is clearly a spot Walters isn't willing to overpay for since we've let one walk year after year (Stove, Sayles & now Walker). 

We all know Walters commits certain dollars to certain positions… if I had to guess, American DT is a position that is usually reserved for minimum salary, or close to it… Stove, Sayles, and even Walker were all let go once they were due a big raise 

 

Betts to the NFL is a big blow for BC and all those teams bidding on him. I also don't think he deserves an NFL shot. 1 trick pony.

Betts is too small and not powerful or fast enough to make it down south. 
 

If he wants to be a camp body then enjoy. 

That's a deal with no money...and no guarantee he even gets to camp...could be set free when CFL season has started...and will be left gathering peanuts

I don’t think he has the speed or tackling ability to play that spot either, he will get rag dolled and trucked.

He’s too small, too slow in my opinion. He can beat guys with a yard off the ball out of the set off the line in the CFL. 
 

He is not doing that down south. I’ll eat crow if he makes even a PR. But I have zero worry about doing so. 

This Betts thing sounds like him using Farhan to try and drive up interest and increase offers. 

Clearly not many people checking in with what he is asking for. 

 

He won't get to camp...and if he does it's for a body only and early cut...and no chance of a PR either...

I thought Betts retired before the west final... otherwise surely he would have played in that game

I’m not a fan of his either, but 100% this. A shot at the NFL is worth it for any player. 
 

Kind of a weird thing to clown on a guy for, but I digress.

Not believing he is good enough to play in the NFL isn’t clowning on him.
