Arguably best overall ability of the QB's in the 2025 class. Look at the mess in Tennessee with the #1 pick. If you want a guy to mold into a franchise QB he's got all the attributes without the bad habits that need to be coached out from playing in a shitty NCAA spread system. Perfect guy to run pro style, west coast concepts. Yeah they probably worry about his experience level, but lots to work with there. Guy who was a multiple sport athlete and didn't commit fully to football until Grade 11/12....which is also the basic plot line of arguably the two greatest QB's in the modern era, although they were baseball players not hockey. Neither one of those guys (Brady and Mahomes) were 5 star recruits. Who cares if a guy went to Miami or Texas if he has no velocity or accuracy, can't make throws on time, can't adjust and make plays if they get off schedule? All to say, I don't expect to see Elgersma up here until 2027 or 2028 at earliest and more likely never. 2 minutes ago, Noeller said: Jesus... Nobody wanted anything to do with him. That seems wild. I can't imagine us cutting any of the guys we've had here all year just to make room for him, but I guess you never know... I don't really see him coming up soon. He has no path to playing time here this season, he'd probably have to force a trade but there's really nowhere other than Montreal who needs a QB immediately where he might get any playing time. The only reason for him to come up would be to play and set himself up for another NFL shot. Standing on the sideline here doesn't make much sense. Booch Posted 5 hours ago Report Posted 5 hours ago (edited) NFL is also different than up here...IR guys also count against the cap...may not be their full salary as some don't necessarily get their actual full non guaranteed amount....but none the less it counts along with the PR guys, so teams need to really be aware of where the cap is being spent, so a guy they may view as a real long shot project...or one who may never evolve into a legit starter, they won't waste their time on...and money Edited 5 hours ago by Booch
Goalie Posted 4 hours ago Report Posted 4 hours ago I thought Elgersma had another offer from 1 other team not named Green Bay but it appears they all passed on him. Wouldn’t surprise me if he’s up here sooner than we all think. The politics down there is real, ask Doug flutie about that. wpgallday1960 and Stickem 2

Likely who they do sign will be making more. Noeller 1

Part of me wanted him to succeed in the NFL because it would validate we can develop good QBs in CIAU football. The selfish fan in me wants him to come to the BBs and wildly suceed, our own version of Russ Jackson, if you will. OK, I’ll get back into my straight jacket now. wbbfan and Goalie 1 1

With the future of Zack....let's say 'becoming a little cloudy' (to say the least) maybe it would be a good idea to have a credible option in the fold...Our management must have seen something they liked when they drafted him...Bring him in for a looksee and let the cards fall where they may

I’ll join you cuz I think there’s a chance he’s the guy here after Zach is officially done. I don’t think it’s Streveler or Wilson or even Artopeus. I think Elgersma will be the next starting QB of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. Not this year probably not next year but the year after, he will be our starter. If he comes up this year he’s probably the backup next year. Edited 3 hours ago by Goalie wpgallday1960 1

Don't think he gets a shot a real chance shot at the NFL. bigg jay 1
