TSN media staff appears to be relatively the same as last year. Are you happy about that?

Personally, I know that announcers and commentators are going to be noticeably similar to Captain Obvious and I do not think that can be changed much. I like Steagall's courage to speak his mind. The rest of the panel seems scripted with talking points. Sharp criticism is seldom seen.

But I am happy. Rod Black is gone and that's all that matters on this topic. I am even able to put up with "homer" Glenn Suiter. I thought he was rather restrained during the Regina game. He seldom foamed at the mouth AND he did not harp on  just one player's hilites all game. So growth is possible even in the face of entrenched personality.

Your thoughts on the TSN crew?

I'm pretty sure Brodie Lawson was an employee of the CFL... not TSN... she was laid off during the pandemic season... in theory, TSN could hire her (for the first time)

He's among most people's favourite host who occasionally says/does something that some disagree with - like any human being.

Former Riders would obviously be trashed more.

Nah... While his best seasons were with us, Khari played for 5 different teams and has coached for 2 others so he's been in plenty of different colors throughout his time in the CFL (he's only missing Ottawa and Toronto to complete the set). 

Also nobody should ever have to see someone (regardless of who it is) with the Grey Cup while wearing those colours... thankfully that very rarely happens!

Khari has coached for 4 teams, the Ti-Cats, Riders, Lions and Als.

Yep, I was looking at the total number of teams he was with as player and coach.  He already wore Hamilton & BC colors as a player so I didn't include them in the coaching part.

What exactly in your analysis makes this a “stupid” comment? Fundamentally wrong? Too simplistic? Too obvious? Just trying to understand your mindset.

Too obvious and it comes across as him saying its needed in the CFL when its a requirement at all levels of football.

Suitor isn't as bad when not calling rider or bomber games. He's a little less green gitch wearing. If you took him off rider games, he'd be ok. 

As for chimps eating bananas... they already did that on tsn trade centre a few years back and it was by far the best part.

Having former Bombers on the panel has nothing to do with it. Dunigan got us to a GC in 1990 & threw for 713 yards in a game as our qb & he gets criticized here all the time.

My Nephew is 12 and is starting to get into watching Bomber games so  these type of obvious comments are perfect for people that aren't well versed in football.   He was asking alot of questions that were really basic and it clicked that the CFL/football has alot of rules/nuances that is hard to pick up and them dumbing it down is great for them.. 

I like the break downs to since it lets you see more of the things i may have missed by grabbing more food..
