I might be overly optimistic about this, but Dubois has finally been able to practise regularly with the Jets over the last 9 days.  I've got a feeling that he could have a more obvious impact in this

Just out of curiosity, if MS hit Evans before he scored- would it still be charging?

I doubt it.

I’m really sick of hearing about how Scheifele hit a ‘defenseless’ player.  It’s just completely false.  Seriously, you can think it was legal/illegal, dirty/clean, suspendible or not, but saying Evans was defenseless, is ridiculous.

This is playoff hockey....you better be prepared for hard hits...If Schief is going to get suspended for playing at a 110 percent then I'm watching the wrong game....What a bunch of bull$hit....right out of the eastern media crapcan

This hearing is taking a long time.   You would think Jets need to know soon so the coach can figure out line combos for tomorrow game.

I agree with the stance that Evans wasn't defenceless.  You can see him look up just before he gets hit by Schiefele.   I maintain it was a clean hit too.  Shoulder to chest.  He's not head hunting and he's finishing his check.  I'm not so sure it's a charging penalty either.  Everyone saying he was going full tilt is correct... Because he was backchecking.

Anyway you look at it...it was stupid if for only risking Schiefele over a bit player like Evans. Dumb penalty to take that might cost us big time. Should of let up, lived to fight another day.

So... did he get suspended?

still no news, anything that could have already been heard is misinformation, yeah this wait is taking forever as well, how long must it take to review footage?

Update: we should expect to hear something in about 71 minutes or so

I love how Montreal media members act like this was the worst hit in the history of the game, while ignoring they have Perry on their team and the hit Weber laid on Galchenyuk.

It's always the worst hit possible when it's your team player that's hurt.

4 games is a joke. shoulder to chest hit, didn’t leave his feet, only thing he did wrong was charging

My view now...he slowed up at the end, if he didn’t he might have stopped that goal. He’s gone now it’s time for PLD to put up or put his feet up.

I hope that Stas can make it back sooner rather than later as well.

Have to wonder if this had been a Canadiens player that laid out a Jet, in similar fashion - would they have gotten 4 games?  I doubt it.

All the stuff Tom Wilson has done, but it's Scheifele that they choose to make their statement on. A guy with zero history in more than 500 games played. It's really the inconsistency of the DoPS that is so maddening....

A Joke.....that is all.........

The NHL is a ******* joke.  Just a pathetic ruling.  Like Noeller said, you choose to make an example of Scheifele, while repeat offenders skate?  Zero credibility.

what a ******* joke

4 ******* Games????

That is serious bullshit.

**** these "NHL player safety" guys.

Man, I was pretty "meh" about everything until the suspension came down and now I'm actually really ******* angry. I don't know how we can possibly compete, with the guys we're missing, but I really and truly hope we kick the **** out of these assholes now just to shove it up their ass and give Scheif another chance to play this season.

Look on the bright side Scheifele won’t have to take the beating Edmundson is so excited to give him.

I thought as others did that 2 games was the most he'd serve. Yikes

So he gets 4 and Wilson is a repeat offender and gets a wrist slap? WTF? Then again, Parros is the head of player safety, so it makes sense given that he's a not bright former goon.

Reaves (two previous fines and two previous suspensions) got two for kneeling on the back of a guy's head and ripping out some of his hair. Scheifele (no previous fines or suspensions)got four. Something doesn't add up to me.
