GAME 6 | WINNIPEG BLUE BOMBERS (5-0) at HAMILTON TIGER-CATS (4-1)
THE 4-1-1
Kickoff: 6 p.m. CT Friday, Tim Hortons Field, Hamilton
TV: TSN, RDS, ESPN+
Radio: 680 CJOB
Vegas line: The Ticats are favoured by two points.
Home/Road: The Bombers are 2-0 on the road this year with wins in Vancouver and Ottawa. Winnipeg is 4-1 in its last five road games, the lone blemish a loss to Edmonton in the 2018 regular season finale in which a number of the team’s starters did not play or had limited reps. Hamilton, meanwhile, is a perfect 3-0 at home this season.
Recent history: The Bombers 5-0 start is the third best in franchise history. The 1960 squad opened with 10 consecutive victories en route to a 14-2 record while the 1939 Bombers rocketed to an 8-0 start, finished the regular season 10-2 and then defeated Ottawa to win the second of the franchise’s 10 Grey Cup championships. The Ticats, meanwhile, have opened with a 4-1 record in their first five games for the first time in 21 seasons.
Series: The Bombers are 64-55-0 all-time vs. Hamilton and 27-32-0 at Ivor Wynne Stadium/Tim Hortons Field.

  • I've seen the Bombers play some awful football over the years, so if they wanna blow out everyone the rest of the year, they can go right ahead. Somehow, I'll find a way to manage............

  • Stop whining about blowout victories. Immediately.

Nichols played a lousy game as he himself admitted on the post game. Lapo called a poor game. Turnovers killed us. Those two fumbles on returns cost us 6 points. Oline did not have a great game. Our D

Played our worst game, 6 turnovers and we lose by one possession.  Shite happens.

Okay time to put Streveler in

I mean, the game's done...

The perfect microcosm of why Lapo will never be a great co-ordinator.

Pretty much. Zero adjustments made.

Hamilton scores 14 in 5 minutes and 9 the rest of the way and wins.

Turnovers and O you were ****

Nichols was hot garbage

still has a lot to prove

Edmonton and Hamilton have slapped him around

Cats win with a back up QB .... it's actually possible 😱

2 drops by ST

Bad 1st half by D

And bad game by the O

not the best game for the o line either

1 sack against. Harris wasn't used. How many steamboats should they be able to allow

Nichols happy feet came back today.

Hamilton is good but we beat ourselves. I'm already looking forward to what they're gonna do to Toronto next week. One thing that stood out to me... Andrew Harris looked really slow tonight.

6-0 you say?

I've already moved on from this game, I've put it behind me.

Nice basic lesson - if you have an all-star receiver, don't make him a healthy scratch... get him on the roster

We had zero deep threat at the end of that game and Hammie knew it - and Lapo knew it too

Nichols with Drew Willy happy feet is not something I wanted to see

I thought Harris was solid

He can still run through contact but he gets caught from behind way earlier than he ever hand. Was bound to happen eventually.

He is coming back in.

Nichols was great against inferior competition the past few weeks. This game should show us how hard it is when he's facing a good defense. Certainly not all on him - down two receivers at least - but he continually limited us.

You've got to solve the Nichols riddle to determine how far this team goes. If you can trust him, then this team is great. If not, you end up like tonight. Evans had less than 100 yards passing and the Bombers still couldn't win.

Relax, he has never been a speed guy

Bad 1st half by D? They gave up 1 TD the entire game. Ok 2 but we both know the 2nd was a pick 6. D was good... The O tho.. The lack of Harris in to the wind was mind boggling. Play calls were crap.. The guy throwing the ball was the biggest problem tho. 3 picks.

Hamilton is for real..

If Masoli is okay. If not, not so much. Their D is good but no Masoli not good.
