Thanksgiving Football

Good morning everyone, it's a great day to watch the Riders get stomped at home.

First things first, can Johnny Football shock the world and lead the Als to a win over the Stampeders??

  • The Reilly hit should have been RTP. I really don’t understand the waffling. A helmet to helmet hit used to be automatic. What’s changed? I’ve seen hand slaps on helmets called for RTP.

  • BLM must think he’s playing in the Grey Cup. 😎

Horrible pick from ZC, there

I don't know if BLM would stay. He might go elsewhere but it'd take $700,000 -$800,000 or more to do it. If the salary cap goes up significantly with the new collective agreement then why not?

The cap won't be going up significantly.  Where is that money coming from?  At least a third of the league is hemorrhaging money at the current level of compensation.

Rielly now throws a worse one.....for the TD

**** you Jefferson. You d bag.

That should be roughing the passer.

Spear with a little extra on the ground.

See if the Command Centre has the guts.

It'll have to go up or we'll lose players to the XFL & AAFL. Things can't stay the way they are now.

That was the right call. Too borderline to overturn.

He hit Reilly high & should be called. But it's the Riders so of course they get the call that favours them.

Get rid of the reviews.  If they can't make that call they aren't worth having.

For all the talk about the Riders struggles on O......

You could say the same about operating teams in Vancouver, Montreal and Toronto.

Upward pressure on salaries is going to result in the prairie teams signing the paycheques of the whole league again and put the whole thing in peril.

Evans probably gets fined for that hit if the Eskimos don't challenge it.

Mike Reilly Vs. the world is looking like it will be cancelled for next season.

Esks O looks dreadful....

CFL teams lose out on revenues with high ticket prices on game day tickets. They could sell these empty seats in every stadium for half the cost but teams refuse to do so. So, thousands of empty seats are never occupied & teams get zero revenues for them plus lose money on concessions & merchandising. In Calgary here 10-13,000 seats are always empty. Edmonton has 22,000 seats that are never used. I think they could solve a lot of problems by lowering prices.

That should have been a flag, dirty hit but hey the CFL has to pump the Riders because apparently a province of just over 1 million people drives a league in a nation of 36 million.

I have to respectfully disagree, if it was that simple, there is no doubt they'd to it to make more money, no?

Went away from the run game yet again allowing sask front to pin their ears back and go full pass rush on qb.

Teams seem to have budgeted more for TV money than ticket sales. I know it sounds ridiculous but why else would teams sell individual game tickets on the 30 yard line at McMahon for $80? People can stay home & watch on tv & they do. Ticket prices across the CFL have effectively eliminated the game day walk up crowd. Teams like Winnipeg & Calgary used to count on an extra 8-10,000 in ticket sales on game days but no more.

Partly that, but that was the absolute worst OL play we have seen all year.

Must have been luck again.

That OL is brutal. Reilly won't make it thru the rest of the season if this continues.
