Regular Season Bomber News & Discussion

Training Camp is over, the roster has been set, and the biggest Q is who should MOS start at QB.

The Bomber Brass are comparing notes on that and have yet to decide so its not clear cut by any means. The default is Ross by a nose but we could have 3 legit thoroughbreds in our stable all at once.

I personally believe Steveler has the most upside based on pure talent, scrambling pizzazz, and the ability to see the whole field. He is also the most likely to turn the ball over and make gigantically good plays. Ross will protect the ball best and run the short game well.

Ross may have played the most regular season downs but Bennett has the most experience especially in the Bomber system. I can see us saying later in the year "why didn't we start using Bennett earlier?" He is my pick for short yardage QB but I would be happy with Steveler in that role too.  My best guess: Ross starts but Steveler comes in as soon as Ross has two or three bad series in a row.

Too bad. If Leggett is finished as a player he deserved to go out a lot better than that.

Yeah, unfortunately that is true.

Cory “Poop” Johnson has been released from the #Bombers practice roster.

I don't know what he did to fall out of favour, but something definitely happened.  We've been pretty thin on the D line and he hasn't had a sniff since early in the season.  Strange.

that would be my guess...and he would be due a larger salary for next year as he is done his entry..and we have Bryant already for next year and play the same role and same skillset...so maybe frees more money in the kitty to sign Biggie...that or he was not happy and asked for it...or there was something else going on that Oshea didn't feel the media/public needed to know

totally...especially if he knew he was not gonna get on game day roster other than for an injury...question is tho now can we bring him back if Nevis or Bryant get hurt this week?...or next?

I suppose Choudja is the next up.

Choudja (6'3, 263, Nevada, April 11, 1996 in Oakley, CA) played four seasons with the Nevada Wolfpack, totalling 93 tackles, four and a half sacks and four forced fumbles in 50 games. Choudja signed with the San Francisco 49ers as an undrafted free agent in 2018 and spent time on the Bombers? practice roster earlier this season.

He's an end not a tackle.

i guess they will have d tackles on the roster only, thomas, nevis and bryant

they have played well

So we can't give the other teams a Poop about the rest of the games this year?

Investors Group Wealth Management Field?

Too long.

Bryant and Nevis are both better.  Johnson is a pretty good option to have on the PR, but you can't blame him if he has a better paying option back home.

It is really good to see the Bombers constantly improving their roster.

Poop asked to go home, since he could make more money there.

Understandable.

Wish him well.

Did the coaching staff ever made any mention on why he fell out of favor?

Looks like Chungh is not playing this Sat vs the Esks.

He was transferred to the Injury List.

Why do they bother listing the colleges?

Interesting was hoping to see Nelson this game.

I forget, did they actually cut Priester?  Can't see the logic, he was the "next up" even before Sayles and didn't look out of place in the games he appeared in, maybe he requested his release.

I was thinking the same thing. Guess they do a lot of evaluation in practice. Or maybe Priester did a Poop

Bryant has really come on, in the last few games.....
