  • Two points regarding this thread: 1)  Durant likely still believes he can compete as a starter somewhere.  Where?  I'm not sure.  If he came to grips with the reality, he likely would have agreed

  • I understand that the Defensive Back Association of Canada voted Kevin Glenn "Best Quarterback Ever".

  • Who cares about who our back up will be....   the OCD in me is so satisfied that Glenn has now made the trip around the league to each city.    What a glorious day!

Isn't this Durant's take it or leave it day?

Just as long as Lefevour is not back, I'd rather have two raw rookies backing up... no matter how 'great' he is at 3rd down conversions.

Apparently that was an erroneous date, they are still negotiating.

It has been inaccurately reported that Darian Durant’s bonus is due Jan. 15.

Can you say Dan Lefevour again. Yes we can.

sigh...

that's okay he has accomplished what no other CFL player has ever done....(I think)

I'd rather go with a raw rookie this year than to have the Fevour back. At least with a rookie there is potential...

I'll be surprised if Durant isn't back in Montreal this season.

I’ll be surprised if he’s not the Bombers backup.

We’ll see I suppose.

Jensen, Fajardo... not much out there - basically have to run with Davis as your backup

Four years in and no QBs being developed besides Davis who looks pretty 'meh'...  way too much turnover with QB prospects

Durant's bonus due was miss reported lol...why doesn't that surprise me...I don't think that Herb in Mont. knows his arse from a hole in the ground...Creates a bunch of speculation, then after we are presented with the real  facts, he dreams up some other fairy tale...I'm beginning to wonder if there was a bonus due ,period...Most likely see Durant re-sign with the Als. and that will leave no experienced qb. on the table, leaving us with the same suspects backing up Nichols as last year....ho hum.

They could have pursued him harder had they wanted to. I guess we didn't.

Dave Naylor just tweeted the bonus is due tomorrow.

Are these guys just speculating again   lol....Round and round the mulberry bush...I guess we should wait until we hear something official from the club...always a good idea

The Bombers had a least one quarterback in last fall, who is supposed to be coming back this season. Forget his name.

I hope we don't see the fever here again.

Been in the league a fair while, and has not shown much.

But I think he'll be here as second or third qb. That's how we roll.

or, maybe Willie will be brought back. redemption season.

You hope you don't see more of Davis because that means Nichols is hurt. But I believe we need to see more of Davis before giving up on him.

RE: Davis and LeFevour- use the same ingredients and you get the same cake.  I would welcome Durant over these in a heartbeat. If the Bombers are spending $100,000+ for a third-down specialist/one-trick pony, there is something really wrong.

Nope I believe we have seen enough of Davis. We need to start again because when we needed Davis last year he was nowhere to be found. We you get your chance you have to step up. If anything he regressed....

Just FTR, no QB in the league makes less than 100k...

Didn't Jonathon Jennings sign on for two years at league minimum...?

On the other hand, I think Goltz was making $150k as a backup

I just remember Naylor saying, during the whole Manziel situation, (because his agent was crying about the CFL league min) that no QB makes the league minimum...

I say now...

Davis been here for several years, got one half to show something.

thirty whole minutes of actual game time.

That is whacky. Has never been explained in any reasonable way.

I know the record is good, I know, who am I to question the team, I know everything is great,

but some of the things done by the Bombers are quite hard to understand.
