Around the League - Regular Season Discussion (Redux)

Training camp is over .... adjustments have been made  and its time for the opening kickoff

Anybody change their minds on how preseason changed their expectations for this year .... Montreal thrashing Ottawa changed mine .... cutting Willy raise my hopes for the Argos .... Edmonton looks stronger than I first thought and Regina even worse

For the first time in years I am forecasting Winnipeg finishes first in the league  .. just an optimistic hunch .... I forecast these final standings:

Winnipeg

Calgary

Vancouver

Edmonton

Ottawa

Montreal

Toronto

Hamilton

Regina

  • Well, there you go.  It seemed to me that it’s been perceived as being stale and the interest level was tapering off. It takes all week to gather, edit and format that topic and I thought I’d giv

It also helps that Mike Bajakian, the QB coach of Tampa Bay, was the Offensive Coordinator at Central Michigan when LeFevour played there. (LeFevour was on the Bucs roster for a few months last year. )

ya see, its little quirky tidbits like this why I love this place.   Thanks for that info Fred.

Quite true and he puts up the with some of the Bomber fans on here that are less than 'hospitable' to outsiders. It's great that he comes here, even if his green-tinted glasses are sometimes foggy.

Foggy? You're being kind. :)

Collins is a solid receiver, doesn't seem like much of a return to get a DE that Hamilton recently added who has not played in the CFL since a cup of coffee with the 2013 Bombers.

Shows you the relative value of imports.  Basically nil.

What do you guys think of Macadoo?  Big kid.  Any insight?

Truthfully forgot about him until this deal. I had to look him up, two games in 2013, couple of tackles and a sack.

Don't ever remember having him

I can't even remember McAdoo with the Bombers. Then again, the 2013 season save the Banjo Bowl has been all but wiped from my memory banks.

What a weird trade.

Only McAdoo I remember is the coach....

He apparently played 2 games. Hes depth to the depth but CDN and u guys have CDN ratio issues so i get the trade. Hope he doesnt have to start tho.

Nope he's American.

Thanks guys.  I like Collins and don't really want to see him go, but this point he just isn't cracking our starting group. Might as well get something for him, we got a 6th back too.

Today I'm at the Alouettes at the Argos game.  Johnny Sears Jr. isn't here and isn't on the Argos website roster anywhere.

Did he get released?

Montreal is looking like hot garbage right now.  With a short week for them could this be good for the Bombers on Thursday?

I'm always leery of playing a team that just got blown out badly.....

which one of the hundred people there are you?  Wave and yell "Hey KBF!" the next time the camera focuses on the three people in your section.

I saw Sears wearing a white cowboy hat.

Willy now in.

3 plays... one long pass, then two sacks.

Same old Willy. Hanging too long with the ball.

I guess balls is always attached to Willy. ?

Oh.. Then weak.

Gawd Drew Willy sucks.  Smart move Kavis - moving Vernon Adams, a unknown commodity, who still has a chance to develop into something resembling a decent qb and keep  a proven, washed-up, indecisive and immobile Drew Willy.
