Bombers at Shmoes GDT

Let's see if we can carry our dominance over from last week. Edmonton has gotten some weapons back since we played them last, I expect a close game.

I thought Maas was relatively calm this game. The only thing I thought was he looked like he was gonna cry after randle broke up that 3rd down pass to seal the game. I seen a few teary eyes in my day,

  • It's hard to ignore the difference JSK has had on this defence. Another 10 tackles tonight.

man, it was a bit messy tonight but the team looked elite. cal and wpg are the class of the cfl. randall's pick sealed it but the d smothered things all night and our o has been balanced and unflappable every game.. i love it. clean win even when medlock was off. lline play was tight on both sides. we're gonna be cheering well into the playoffs boys!!

That contain he had on mike reilly was very telling... a disciplined playmaker... young explosive... we found a keeper

You know Medlock will turn it around.....ST and O aren't question marks. If D keeps growing.....man oh man. Sky's the limit. This team just took down an Esks roster that is as talented as anyone.....watch out. These guys are for real.

That catch by Adams for a td was sweet Randle set up Reilly beautifully for that pick, the D line got pressure when they needed to , hope Leggett is okay, Santos played real well and Harris carried the team during the middle part of the game, Bombers definitely for real and almost time to print the semi final game tickets.

When did we win in Edmonton last?

This D is finally tightened up. What I like about this team is the continual improvement. If we fire on all cylinders we could definitely beat any team in front of us.

When's the last time we have won two in a row in Edmonton

forget IN edmonton,  whens the last time we won 2 in a row vs edmonton period

DBs played Edmonton receivers a lot more aggressively and it seemed like the Edmonton receivers were stunned to a certain extent.  Like they thought the game would be a lot easier for them.

I'm too much of a nationalist, for sure, but I find that Americans, especially ones from the south, are almost unintelligible sometimes. And a lot of y'know.... Awwwmmmmm.... Y'know....

Well, most guys barely get scores to pass their SAT's, their high schools are sketchy to say the least & they don't go to college for an education.  Still, compared to the "Ehs"  & the "And duhs" of hockey players they are communicators extraordinaire.

Was begging to see our DBs finally jump one of those short routes. Reilly had been telegraphing a bunch of those comebacks and hitches most of the night. Randle came through in the clutch again.

Offense struggled a bit more than I expected to get things downfield. Hopefully we got a bad game from Medlock out of the way now and not in November.

Big win.  And could have been much bigger, 9 points Medlock left out there (granted one was from midfield) and a TD bomb Denmark dropped.  Easily could have scored another 15.

Fantastic team effort, especially when the long range artillery attack (Medlock) wasn't there.

Going into this game, it seemed like the Bombers were the most disrespected 9-3 team in cfl history.  A lot of questions on defence answered tonight.  Pressure on Reilly and winning a lot of those deep throws were great to see.  We knew Lapo vs Benevides was going to be good. Hall vs Walch was damn entertaining too!

Bowman seemed disinterested when he was since on camera (rarely) as he was only targeted like once or twice.  I think he was gettin a little jealous that zylstra was getting all of reilly's love

For the record...

#Bombers have five games left and need two wins to secure home playoff game. Or losses by #Esks and #Riders.

Huge win boys! Only Q mark left for us is the Stampeders.

Honestly the stamps look beatable this year and I for one was saying during this game it's great to see the bombers have finally utilized the Harris/Flanders combo effectively (unlike last year). That will pay dividends in november

They had to stop the Esks deep ball & with the exception of Zylstra's flukey catch they did. That's why the Bombers won. They took away the Esks confidence to throw deep & their swagger.

Glad Edmonton continued their downward spiral that we started them on.

Maas sure looks miserable, doesn't he?
