US Politics

Lets see if we can keep this thread a little more civil.

I found this interview very interesting.  A lot of soft balls thrown at Trump, he explained his back pedalling on his more extreme issues as a lot of his claims as opening bids for negotiation purposes.  Which .. whatever .. I still think that those are insincere claims he used to get elected.

He does now come across way more presidential then he did prior to the election.  A lot of his noise, yelling, and rhetoric has been scaled back.

Do respect this one though:

Quote

Lesley Stahl: Are you gonna take the salary, the president’s salary?

Donald Trump: Well, I’ve never commented on this, but the answer is no. I think I have to by law take $1, so I’ll take $1 a year. But it’s a -- I don’t even know what it is.

Donald Trump: Do you know what the salary is?

Lesley Stahl: $400,000 you’re giving up.

Donald Trump: No, I’m not gonna take the salary. I’m not taking it.

So Joe Biden, will the media actually begin exploring whether or not he has some form of cognitive impairment? Watching him speak and his gaffes and comparing this to say 4-5 years ago, clearly something isn't 100%.

Joe Biden has had a stutter since he was a child. There are still times when he struggles with his words.

Can sympathize.  Had a speech impediment, growing up.  Couldn't pronounce a number of basic vowels.   Not everybody can be that understanding, at times.
Fortunately, I am now tremendously articulate.   At least on paper.....

Yeah, the thing with Biden is that its not a stutter, it's him clearly getting confused and saying the wrong thing.

For example, when he said this about the Paris Climate Accords. "I'm the guy that came back after meeting with Deng Xiaoping and making the case that I believe China would join if we put pressure on them," Biden said. That would be the man who hasn't lead China since 1992 and who died in 1997. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deng_Xiaoping.

Or when he said that his late son Beau was a former US Attorney General, when he was the Attorney General of Delaware. https://abc14news.com/2020/02/22/joe-biden-mistakenly-calls-late-son-beau-the-united-states-attorney-general-at-town-hall-meeting/

Calling a reporter the wrong name.

I could keep going but honestly its concerning because I think its an issue.

Also Biden could be in a coma and still be ten times the president trump is.  So let’s stop with the dementia hoax. The only guy with cognitive impairment is trump.

There is always a tweet.... lol.

Secondly... there can be two people with cognitive decline vying for PoTUs.

Did I endorse Trump? Nope. Did I say he doesn't have flaws? Nope. I personally think he needs to get off Twitter. I believe Trump has said numerous horrible things. I think he's a egomaniac.

I brought up Biden because its not really been spoken about and personally I don't think its a hoax. There is clearly something off with him.

Messed up the Declaration of Independence preamble.

Stated he's a candidate for the US Senate

Too many of these to think its not an issue.

Needless to say, it's a pretty sad reality that the 2020 presidential race is likely going to come down to two geriatric clowns who should be out of politics.

Hey guys. Don’t worry.  Trump has said the wall is going up to protect from the Coronavirus.  Everything will be fine.

Trump is incredibly and fantastically concerned about the current situation.....
....with corporate profits and the stock market

Going to be interesting to see who Bidens VP is as they will likely end up President before Bidens first term is over.

Hillary presidency via side door ?

"A Tragic Presidency Cut Short" followed by "The Accidental President" knowing full well from the start Biden was sliding into senility is beyond cynicism even by 21st century political standards.

Right like Hillary finding a way back into the race theorizing hasn't been common currency in media for years. Only on Fox, right ?

A needn't be Hillary to be cynical. Any running mate chosen knowing full well Biden has begun descent into dementia but still campaigning him as a viable president is reprehensible.

Biden lost it on another constituent today in Detrot. Averages one awkward blowup in public a month now. But he still has months and months of campaigning and debates still to,come. A person in his state can only take so much.

Just saying that the timing was very similar.

Speaking of descent into dementia...…...

Lame. The possibility of Bloomberg naming Hilary as VP was at least a 2-3 day news cycle. Being deliberately obtuse is weak.

But you're so proficient at it. Get well soon.

Democratic nominee should pick hillary as running mate just to watch the right's heads explode.

Own the regressives!

We were talking about Biden, not bloomberg...

It's alright, there is no shame in watching fox news.

Like there's a possibility Biden wont nominate a woman who wasn't sufficiently "progressive" and woke to virtue signal to their white big city voter base? Essentially guranteed.

We were talking about trying to fluff off the reemergence of Hillary as a Fox talking point and conspiracy theory when it's a common notion accross the spectrum.
