No he values field position, big difference. He puts trust in Legghio to pin them deep, he puts trust in the D to do their job and he knows once we get the ball back on a short field we’re going to be putting up touchdowns more often then not.
He let Medlock do it but not Legghio. More like distrust in Legghio making the kick.

Mos in general is conservative with long fgs outside of medlock.
He won’t.So he lacks faith in Legghio's range. A common consensus of the fans. lol

For a good part of last year it seemed Legghio was coddled. We punted a number of times when we could have gone for field goals. Not many fans have faith in him at this point. His kick at the end of the Grey Cup was low and left. Probably wouldn't have been blocked if he hit it properly.
Think he should have a short leash this year.

He did play over half the season with a shoulder injury which is likely the cause of the whiffed arm tackles.
His arm was in a sling after the season. Had arm or shoulder surgery I believe.

That is where I am at. Quite honestly I would have gone up to $275k/year for him and we average out to around that.
It may sound like splitting hairs at that price, but you have to draw the line somewhere.
Seeing what receivers worse than K-Law are getting, I guess this is just where we are.
I am more scared of Scheon’s next deal TBH
Will be a nice problem to have hopefully. Need to scout for rookies now.

Maybe the Bombers have an offer ready for Lawler and not sure how much will be left for Bailey?

You've been made an offer you can't refuse and the Canadian Mafia brings you in as a player consultant...
Cody is willing to work for $120k. Prokup moves on.
Do you bring him in as an experienced backup, good on short yardage, holding kicks, and already has his own knee brace?
Or, is he too much of a distraction?
Hard pass. No pun intended.

Lol there isn't a coach on either team that is going to look at this site today....nevermind trying to implement some new game plan because of what they read here! Lol
lol. Not sure which coach was quoted that if a coach starts listening to the fans he will soon end up sitting with the fans.

Notes to self to avoid MBB backlash:
- Do not make a claim about anything
- Do not even make a partial claim about anything
- Do not even make a partial claim that is someone else's claim about anything
- Hire a lawyer on retainer to deal with people picking your words apart
- Pick up one 66 of Weiser's Blended at the liquor store
- There's a deal on chips at Sobey's - better hop on that
How much are the chips?

I rewatched the game and it's much easier to watch it without being extremely nervous.
- Rourke made 3 - 4 good throws and outside of that was awful. Looked like a kid not ready for the big time game which makes sense.
- Zach also had a below average game but thankfully he only had to throw half as many passes.
- I don't think the refs were as bad as this thread made them out to be, but I will say the lack of penalty on the special teams return was glaring.
- BC 's time management at the end was baffling and insane that they wasted so much time. How did they not call 3 plays at the line of scrimmage and just run one after the other?
- BC will look good moving forward, they could cut a couple of the expensive receivers and still have a solid crew. I don't think they'll have issues extending Rourke if they cut Lucky and Rhymes/Burnham.
- Score really was misleading... the Grant fumble, the PAT issues, Zach throwing a pick in the end zone, iffy holding penalty later in the game wiping out a TD... this game really could of been a 30 point blow out.
- I'm not worried about Zach he was walking around pretty normal after the game. He'll be good to go.
- TSN half time panel was good .... Suitor and Nielson were all over the place.
I will assume next week "should" be an easier challenge since MBT is all over the place and Oulette/Harris are not as good as Butler.
Think Harris will have a better game than Butler.

Also 2 missed Converts and one returned for 2pts. That’s 5pts right there. Shouldn’t have been that close.
How is that 5?

Hoping number 5 is well rested and ready to go. If he gets pressure early it will be a tough game for Rourke.

Could be an advantage to us if they play indoors then have to come here to play in the cold.

If you can honestly watch the team that Lapolice has built from scratch over two years in Ottawa and say you want that guy near a professional football team anytime soon you’re deranged.
He’s got a 10 year minimum sentence at TSN to cleanse from this **** show he’s created.
The guy can’t coach QBs. You can’t hand over a team or an offense in any level of football now to someone who can’t coach QBs.
2022 Masoli was his 2010-12 Buck Pierce.
Don't think Oshea can coach QB's???

I’ll never get why the hate of him is so personal for some of you here. Like you want him to fail and revel in it. And root for him to get fired. It will happen and is part of the game, and his record shows he’s not a head coach, but the glee some post about his inevitable demise makes no sense to me. If people are bitter about the time he was here and didn’t deliver a win, it should have washed away in 2019. If he had a big character flaw like he beat his wife, quit on a contract and walked out, was demeaning to the media or fans, or got busted for drug use I might understand it. Why is your hate so personal?
Have to say it's tough to consistently win without a qb. Just ask Belichick.

Fair enough. I would say the short punt is easier, but agree to disagree. The kick is more conventional. Thanks for the opinion.

Hawerchuk smoked 2 packs a day and the extent of his off season workout regimen was playing summer beer league in Gimli. I know, I played on his team. That guy would have been ridiculous if he had trained, ate right, not smoked.
So a lot of similarities with the Charles Roberts fitness regime. Lol

When a coach chooses to punt instead of a 43 or 45 yard field goal attempt then that says something about the kicker. Not questioning the 50 yard plus field goals.
