I think the offence plays are designed to get the ball away quicker this year. May also be that Willy is making quicker reads and getting rid of the ball sooner than Hall was. Think the oline has improved from early last year.

So something else just came up regarding THF not being ready on time. ESPN is broadcasting the Wpg and Ticats game on July 31st. Thats going to be a huge game for the league! What are they going to do broadcast from Guelph with 5000 ppl?!? They need to move this game to wpg or something!http://www.cfl.ca/article/espn-cfl-reach-multi-year-us-broadcast-deal

 They need to broadcast another game.

There are no other games on Thursday the 31st. They could do the Friday or sat games I guess.

 

Showing a game in a 5,000 seat stadium would be a major black eye.

 

With only 4000 fans in attendance

Maybe management believes bringing in Romby will help Willy in the short term. Thinking its important for a new qb to get some veteren support early on.

Just remember though, Marve was playing against the last tier defense that Toronto had.  I didn't look close but was there even any starters on their D at the end of the game?  I'd like to see him against Toronto's starters.

 

Still I enjoyed watching him.

Oh, and I agree with MOBomber Fan about Max Hall.... he looked good, definitely coming out strong as the back up or even pushing Willy

I'm interested to see what Hall can do this year. He was improving as the year went on.
