Pluck off Dante Brown from Edm PR.

Interesting fact about Brown. He was supposed to go to Western to form up a kicking tandem with Leggz. Obviously it did not happened.

I believe he would have to agree to coming here and we would have to put him on the roster. Not on the practice roster

Well tbh if I was a kicker I would rather kick in the NFL too. Its much easier kicks. But yeah, the 600k+ US is a pretty good incentive too. Even the 10k a week on the PR is pretty good money.

In 2023 the NFL PR wage is gonna be 12k a week. I wonder if the min or avg CFL salary will have to go up too.

Why do you say its much easier kicks in the NFL?

When on earth do you need cash??? I can't even wrap my head around that everything has tap.... Hell, most places have Google or Apple Pay, now! I was at a food truck last week that had people paying with their phones. That's the only way to go.

    Hookers, drug dealers, bribing politicians...lol

You're right. I guess the good news is most CFL teams are in the same spot - unproven back up QB's. The Argos have the best QB depth right now. And Streveler - not sure he's even a quality starter in the CFL, but as a Bombers legend, he is officially welcome back at any time, in any capacity.

He may be a quality back up. He had starts and we went and made a trade for Zach.

I know & I don't disagree. But getting back to Damon Allen how can anyone say he wasn't elite when he won 3 Grey Cups with 3 different teams & was the CFL's leading passer with over 72,000 yards for 11 years? Saying the only reason he got those stats is because he played a long time is totally inaccurate. He got those numbers because he was a damned good qb. He wouldn't have played that long for all of his head coaches if he didn't have talent.

Allen wasn't fiery. He didn't wear his emotions on his sleeve like Matt Dunigan. He wasn't a screamer or a yeller. He was a quiet leader who let his play on the field do the talking. He had so much talent & smarts that the game was easy to him. To some fans it looked like he was disinterested at times but that was just his personality.  Like I said, I'd take Damon Allen over Anthony Calvillo as my stating qb ten times out of 10.

I remember watching a game at Winnipeg Stadium. Damon Allen scrambles left to the sidelines and at the last second throws a perfect pass for a first down with his left hand! I can't remember being so impressed and pissed off at the same time! lol

This is so damned premature. At least get the second round of Covid vaccinations up & running first which they aren't doing. Now they'ere waiting until every fricking 12 year old gets vaccinated. Why they can't do both makes no sense. Just do it for gawd's sake.

Even after the second shot it can take 2-3 weeks before it kicks in.

But Asper was going to finance the stadium by selling property he had near the stadium & couldn't do it so he bailed leaving everyone in the lurch. At least that is how I remember it. That's when that disastrous financing plan was developed.

    Yeah, David. Sorry.

I remember everyone getting pissed that the Bombers wouldn't be community owned.

As much as we all like Chris Streveler he's not good enough to be an NFL backup qb. Streveler is the kind of guy that can go in with a limited number of plays & run them effectively. Hint: RUN then more effectively; literally & figuratively. Even be a game changer as we saw here. But when having to use the entire playbook, we see the problems he has reading defenses & throwing the ball. I don't even think he's a backup here in Winnipeg either. I'd consider Sean McGuire more ready than he is to handle the entire Blue Bomber playbook if called upon behind Collaros.

Agreed but shame on the Cards for the terrible play calling/game plan for him when he played against the Rams.

The Rams back up that game played like he could have.

Not sure why there hasn't been a watch from home ticket drive.  I would pay full season ticket price to have a season, personally. I cant be the only one.

Im not talking pay per view either. I am talking sell "tickets", shares, whatever you want to call them  we sell enough league wide, we have a season.

    Like a donation?

Who cares about the regular season?? We were "dominant " when it mattered. The regular season is just practice for the playoffs,  everyone knows that.  If we went 18-0 but lost pre season games would you complain about that too?

Yup. It's all about peaking at the right time, the playoffs. Thats when we dominated!
