I think there's a fine line that gets crossed here too often. As passionate football fans obviously a little good natured ribbing  on the Riders is fine. We're rivals, and I expected their fan base to do the same. As annoying as I find some of their fans I would never paint every single fan with that same brush. I've partied with many rider fans after the banjo bowl and most of them are great supportive fans who love football. I think it's important to create a mutual respect between fanbases because at the end of the day both fan bases have their bad apples but most fans are good fans.. Like I said good natured teasing back and forth is fine but personal attacks on people who disagree with your opinion isn't ok. Someone like Ripper who is a regular on this forum is a good example. I may not always agree with his opinion and I myself might give him a tough time over it but I respect that right that he has an opinion and atleast backs up his arguments. 

I really dont care where certain posters allegiances lie... Riders? Whatever . Ticats? Whatever... The 1 argo fan... Whatever... Bombers even... If you say something dumb or ridiculous or you are trolling or just stirring the pot... Well... Piss off. 
If not, its all good. But i mean.. This is Labour Day weekend aka Rivalry games so i see no real issue with Rider fans right now... Besides their arrogance and smugness and bandwagon jumping... But really... Thats a small portion of the fanbase. Ripper? Seems ok... Other than maybe trolling about Nichols a wee bit.. I dont see the issue... I think Glenn is a Ham N Egger... But guys like Migs or whoever... Yeah.. Dont need those types around

The one which I agree with, which is that if we treat their fans the same way they treat us on their forums it makes us no better than they are.  I mean honestly, we have been ragging on scaroz or whatever his name is and Ripper quite hard and they often do add to the conversation and I believe are genuine in trying to not be trolls.  I'm sure other knowledgeable posters would start also coming here and joining in on the conversation if we were a more welcoming group.  I mean some will have to just deal with it because I mean look at how we treat each other haha; but still I know that the discussion board is always more interesting when there are more topics being discussed and its not just reading a bunch of nonsense with a bunch of name calling or trolling going back and fourth

Mike made a good comment in one of the topics and I thought it was worth while to mention it here.  We are often down and hard on how other teams (Riderfans.com) fans behave and how they treat everyone poorly but it seems that we have been getting to be very similar in a way with the new fans coming to the forum to discuss football.  I honestly understand that yes this is the internet and one needs a thick skin, but I do believe we as a group need to be better at not assuming every Rider, Lions, Hamilton fan is a troll.  I mean I find that there is more trolling going on in this forum by our own fans than the other fans (minus Mosaic).  We also should stop assuming every newbie fan who may not be super knowledgeable is Migs.  We were all very new once, I still consider myself the newbie to be honest.  But the forum would definitely be more engaging and fun if we can have more topics talking about football with many different perspectives; even if not all those perspectives are viewed through our blue tinted glasses.

I'm not sure what you think you are entitled to here or how the OP is a sermon.   This is message board, he posted an opinion that you weren't even singled out in.  No one needs to justify why they would make a post like that.  If you would have taken half the time it took you to post all these demands that people do your work for you to look up a  post and just looked it up yourself, you would have found it by now.
Posters who prove themselves to be trolls will always be banned, regardless of who they are and where they come from.  
I have always appreciated the perspective that other fan bases bring to a site like this, and would hope we could attract more to expand the community.
And I get the Riders are a Bomber rivalry and there is always going to be a back and forth between the two fan bases that is to be expected, but I'm with Mike on this one.   The behaviour of some posters here is down right embarrassing,  The exact same kind of crap that I see at Rider Fans and shake my head at.  

I believe he was trying to troll me lol; but it wasn't working   First time it was shame on me every other time well... that's how it goes haha

FTR... NO, this isn't one of my relatives! 

Personally I wish that the nice Rider fans were treated with a little more respect, because it makes it tough to roll my eyes at the people at RF who do it to me when everyone here is doing it to.
i'm all for rivalry and pointing out when Rider fans are being douchy, but at the same time ... some aren't so bad.

It's a lost season and the Ticats will most likely cut ties with Collaros at the end of the year.

Arguing whether it is a 2 point or 4 point game is missing some of the importance of this game.  The Bombers need to win at least one of these games because that will give them the season series.

Quite frustrating, that I can't tell the good fans.....from bad fans, without a program.

Every Bomber fan goes into every game hoping the Bombers will win. You said you go in expecting to win, which means you don't even think about it.  The two words don't mean the same thing.
I'm neither a glass half empty nor a glass half full kind of guy. I'm a look at the two teams who are playing and actually think about who I think will win and why kind of fan.
