That game, and the montreal game were the epitome to me of what we had with Paul Lapolice. A guy who ices his own offence when they get a big lead. Why on earth did they go away from what got them the huge lead in the first place? He does it all the time. Trying to outsmart the defnsive coordinator and does their job for them stopping the offense.  Both Lapo and Ritchie Hall get super passive and it can lead to blown games. At least when Hall gets a talented D it works because they make plays and get pressure to disrupt things.

Many here are getting sweaty about something that may or may not happen or have any impact on our beloved CFL. I think the CFL is in a much better bargaining position that it was at the time of the US expansion, and there are enough smart people involved in running the teams and CFL that concerns will be dealt with or the CFL will back off. If nothing else, it got people talking about the CFL.

I will say this: I'm less angry/upset/depressed about this situation than I was yesterday. Just let me have some Winnipeg Blue Bombers football, whatever that looks like, and get back to some semblance of normal

If the board of governors want to play last year they would have played its simple as that. Its the board that runs this league always has.

One thing that I believe differentiates the CFL from other major leagues is that they always sold this as our game. Several are community owned, which puts emotional attachment/ownership to them. And, those that are privately owned, we understand it's done so with personal risk and little chance for a financial gain. 
I feel no such connection to the Jets, although I recognize that some do. The players, yes, Chipman/Thomson, no. And, when the NHL left us, we had IHL/AHL and other leagues to watch. I love the CFL and it can't be replaced. 
Openness would go a long way. The Gov't said the same thing last year. Come back, with open books and a plan. 
 
Let's get this done. I think that there is enough public support to get all levels of gov't behind this. We know that the MB Gov't is ready to support the Bombers. 

The NHL announced its 2021 season 3 weeks before puck drop. The NBA announced its season start a while 6 weeks before opening tip-off. MLS is ready to start its season (6 weeks before its first games) but says it is still working out how to include the Canadian teams with border restrictions, and no plan announced there yet. MLB supposedly starts in 2 weeks and yet they just discussed last week a shortened season possibility, but no plan announced. NFL and NHL both postponed games on the fly and and did not ever discuss in advance what they would do to make them up - this stuff all happened as it came up. NHL still hasn’t answered the question of how they will make up all the games or what they will do if more get postponed. AHL cancelled its year last year too, so did all USports and CHL, who turn a pretty good buck for a “non-pro” league. They are just hoping for the best. And yet you expect the CFL to lay out the answers for you now 4 months before the season starts? And you seriously want to compare the CFL to every other league as if their operations are apples to apples scenarios?
Here is a harsh reality check for all you fans who feel entitled to know the details of the CFLs multiple planned scenarios this instant. The big 4 sports all lost tons of money playing to empty houses. But the have massive TV contracts to offset those losses. The CFL makes peanuts compared to those leagues, and still has sizeable operating budgets to be able to function. They need fans to turn any kind of profit. Period. And they cannot dictate if fans are allowed to gather en masse right now. So until we get a view of where the pandemic sits come May with vaccinations and 3rd waves, no one can say for sure how the plan will shake out. For now, I see schedules out, players being re-signed, free agency in full swing, just like business as usual in every non-pandemic year. So sit back, digest the evidence that the season for now is a go based on what IS happening, understand just how fluid the situation is because of something none of us have ever lived through before, ignore a random unsubstantiated opinion piece from a media troll looking to stir up **** (if it bleeds, it leads, so they say, so saying “schedule announcement and playing signings show league looking to be on track” doesn’t generate as many hits) and quit jumping all over Ambrosie because he hasn’t laid out the master plan for all of us entitled fans who need clarity NOW, like he personally snuck the virus out of Chins and it’s totally on him if I don’t get my patio boozing or Rum Hut non-social distancing guaranteed by day’s end. 

Because the commish writes the CBA all by himself and no one has to approve it right?

Darvin could drop every single pass thrown his way next year and I will still forever respect him for the way he played and carried himself in a year where we won the Grey Cup.

For sure. I'm not convinced Toronto signs him. That leaves him with #2 money or wait for an opportunity.

Thank you for being instrumental in leading this team out of a dark place and playing a huge role in leading this team back to glory. I'm completely convinced we would not have developed the culture of success to be a perennial playoff team and winners of the Grey Cup this season without you.
Wherever you go from here I will always be a fan of yours and wish you nothing but success (except against the Bombers).
