Cooper put up blistering numbers at his pro day. 4.59 40 40" vert 10'2 broad jump 19 reps of 225. Looks taller and leaner than his listed weight.  Looks like he was the most athletic guy on the field while at monmouth. Flashed a good 2nd gear in pursuit in the video, which goes great with that high motor. Love seeing a lber who can get back into plays with their speed. Looks like has good timing on blitzes and is much stronger than his size or reps show. He just out muscles bigger guys frequently. Small sample size and not great level of competition but its not hard to see what they like about this guy. It'll be interesting to see if he gets a chance to get on the roster this year with all our lber injuries. Looks like he can contribute on teams as a DI too.

I've seen a decent bit of Heiligh at coastal carolina. He could've put up monster numbers at a school that was more pass based, coastal runs heavy 2/3 option and RPO. Reminds me a good bit of kenny lawler. But not as polished with his hands or routes, and much quicker. He can make guys miss in a phone booth. Body catches a bit too much, but most of his passes were right on the numbers. Definitely has that ability to make the tough contested highlight type catches. More of a game time athlete than a testing freak like lawler as well. With his shiftiness and acceleration could end up in the slot too.

So interesting enough.. Brady Oliveria is leading the CFL in rushing now and after a tough start he’s averaging 4.6 yards per carry. This is really great to see!

Not trying to be preachy but as someone who just got over a long long string of depression, I will say this.
Tough times make tough people and when I needed it most good things stasted to come together. It feels like the sky is falling but eventually you find daylight again.

No it's incredibly stupid.  They could have just adjusted their DL/LB rotation to have one more Canadian on D at all times.  Most snaps they play more than they need on D. 
If you have Rourke and a Canadian backing him up it's not much of an issue, but if you only dress one Canadian QB you can't have that guy as one of your 7.

You're missing the point I'm making.  Not Rourke, O'Connor.  He was one of their 7 starters, 4 on O.  So when O'Connor couldn't play and they subbed in Pipkin, American, they had to play their Canadian fullback as their tailback to keep 4 Canadians on the field on O.

Yeah...that did handcuff them...basically took their run game out of play

Lirim was let go by us after having a brutal sophomore year and alot of fans were calling for his head. I think we stay the course this time with a young kicker...good thing MOS is probably the most patient coach i have ever seen.

Tomorrow will be 1 week that we've been here, the only drawback I have found so far is leaving to go work in the city. If this forum had an easy way of sharing images I would show you my view this morning, let's just say watching the fog burn of the creek as the sun rises behind you is a decent way to start the day.

As much as I hate them, good on the Riders for turning a nice profit last year. The prairies show that this league can not just work, but thrive.

I don't disagree with anything you are saying but would like to point out that up until this year Paredes's longest FG was 48 yards.
One of my concerns about Liegghio entering the year was his leg strength. I have been pleasantly surprised by that this year. His accuracy is much improved, and he just needs to nail down the mental aspect of the game. Something a lot of young kickers struggle initially with. 

Leggs was doing fine in all facets....kickers miss, and as long as its not a trend I am ok with it....u HAVE to trot him back out there and forge on...to work through it...which I a sure is nothing to work through anyway...**** happens....u yank him...or or test out some one else you will ruin him for the yr...We have a team built on offense and especially on defense where we dont have to rely on hitting 45 yard or more field goals all the time in order to have a chance to win

while we're talking about controversial topics, here's some news from Spokane about Matt Nichols' life after football.  He mentions wanting to sign a one-day contract to retire as a Bomber but it didn't work out.

I think that the org should honor Nichols -- he's definitely not ring of honor material but he was instrumental in turning around the program and I don't think we are a Grey Cup team without the wins and growing pains of 2016 - 2018.
