i simply cannot fathom how anyone wants to turf or even trade lirim at this point. We going to get him cheaper now then before. He IS a good kicker, he proved it before. He is struggling at place kicking but punted the snot out of it last game (and that was his "weak" part of his game) he is in the midst of a slump. Big deal. Let him earn both jobs next camp or stick as a punter but otherwise losing him would be costly imo. Directional punting skills, strong leg. Things that are hard to come by.

Well if you read up on what's he has been through in his life lack of mental fortitude isn't in his history at all.Had a bad game and his year has been up and down.Westwood ripping on him shows a severe lack of class imo.He was great last year and is young all kickers go through this.Bring in some competition next TC and see what happens.

We have been running up the gut all year over a minute to go then we decide not to run it up the gut at least once to run off the clock?Yea our kicker cost us but we still had a chance to win and all we had to do was run 50 sec off the clock.The Blue played hard though deserved better.

The rookies were better than Burmi and have more upside. 
 
Burmi doesn't really fit in to what this team is doing, he's an east west player, the team is a north south team. 
 
Toth was the only guy mentioning burmi might get traded so i doubt he does but... it wouldn't surprise me one bit if he was.
 
In reality, if he could be sent down to the AHL, that would be the best thing for him but he can't be... you risk losing him for nothing, no doubt someone would take a chance on him.... but i think he's slightly to massively over rated as a player by some Jets fans hoping he becomes something I don't think he ever will be. He's not a top 6 guy.. On this team, I'm not sure if he's a top 9 guy based on pre-season.

Kid had the yips real bad. Can't forget all he did last year. He'll get this worked out but it might take having a separate punter. This stuff happens and I just feel bad for him more than anything.

Well lots of young kickers go through slumps in the early part of their careers I wouldn't give up on Lirim yet.He has the talent just having a off year.

they hadn't lost the game at that point but they were behind. The bad call didn't cost us the game. It may have contributed but it wasn't the sole reason why we lost.

yeah, full on with the pedal down... Unless I see a marked improvement these last 8 games I'm pissed & fed up. We don't even lose with dignity anymore. The Bombers just embarrass themselves. 

It isn't irrelevant when we have the worst Canadian talent in the CFL & we start 8 instead of 7. Tells you how weak our American talent is as well. To me, it's very relevant.

If O'Shea succeeds as a head coach, he would be the first person to go from special teams coach, to head coach, with no other experience, and succeed.
 
Unless someone can name another instance in the last twenty years where it happened, in Pro football. 
 
The slack he gets, and the belief in his future success here as Bombers head coach, without  evidence of any kind to this point, to support it, is odd.
 
Specially considering the hate for some of the other coaches.
   
The only thing I've heard is "players like playing for him". big deal. Westwood said the players loved playing for Reinbold.
 
People keep looking for a single problem, and a simple solution. 
 
There's far more than one thing wrong with the team, and more than one person responsible for it's failure.

A big key to keeping Nichols - getting him an OC who can produce a game plan that doesn't involve killing the QB. 

It's probably time to reduce the minimum Cdn to 5 starters at the next league cflpa negotiations. With top Cdn going to the NFL more and more it's creating a big void in talent for 9 teams.Plus the contracts are getting out of hand again.
