I think its somewhere more in the middle that's needed. I've said before what I'm hoping to see when guys like Zegras doing those skilled lacrosse moves on ice and defensemen getting better at reading it to nicely catch the player cleanly under the chin with his shoulder sending him barreling backwards right before he tries to deposit the puck into the net. Then hearing Howie Meeker say, 'Now that's hockey'. Need that element of fear on the ice when a player tries these trick plays so he isn't 100% percent sure someone will not knock his block off.

All while wingnuts here on our soil taking notes on what to do to get the same results ffs.

I actually don’t find the 8% of disbelievers surprising. I think people hide behind certain colors , ideologies to gaslight others while pretending to be someone else when in fact they’re not who they say they are whether they know it or have really rationalized to themselves as being genuine. Take a few posters here who espouse to be middle of the road, slightly right slightly left whatever and seem to consistently gaslight views/interpretations/perspectives/factsthat sway from theirs.

I’m a huuuge homer when it comes to the Jets but I can completely understand the frustration Anderson and fans showed after Wheelers ‘filthy’ winning shootout goal. I’m not a fan of how players are almost coming to a complete stop waiting for the goalie to make a move then easily put it away. Doesn’t seem right to me.

Ironically, at least to me, comedy may be helping Will Smith face less consequences of his behaviour by scores of different types of people with influence using meme’s and other mechanisms to make light of a serious situation.

Again being hyper sensitive to calling things what they actually are, instead of saying 7 hour gap of records, call it 7 hours of missing or possibly destroyed legally obtained evidence. That alone is a crime regardless of innocence or guilt of other matters that the evidence will show or not show.

This is a great point. I think it's a reasonable requirement that any proposed changes come with rationale other than saying 'to improve the game'.

I've been thinking about this word base when it comes to the buffoonery we see that has nothing to do with debate and many sides to the issues. If one is part of this buffoonery you don't deserve the word base. You don't deserve any word that softens your buffoonery.

Yup worst possible scenario. However, I would take this any day than purposely tanking. I know some will say that's smart, get you a good pick but nope to me.

Yup a whole lot of nothing. Finger wagging, twitter shaming that leads to many likes that leads to money to be made but no, no actual real impactful consequences for obvious bad and most times probably illegal behaviour.
