So just that I’m clear it seems to be implied here that it’s next to impossible in this current football climate to uncover/find a quality QB2 that WBB’s management and coaching staff would be confident in running our offense this coming season if ZC is unable to do for whatever reason?

If we start the season with a qb2 that the head coach and oc have no faith/confidence to have him run the offence if ZC can’t, big fail.

What would be a reasonable expectation of fans toward Bomber Management and Scouting in having a serviceable QB2 in case ZC can’t ’get back out there’? I’m asking cuz I don’t know the answer, key word in the question being reasonable.

The hockey layman that I am and looking at the Canucks lineup it doesn’t read that bad at least on paper. So we beat the Bolts so what do we do with this crew coming off a game yesterday?

Scouting? Combing the earth to uncover prospects? Enticing the NFL fringe QB’s to play here with creative compensation structures?

With all respect to ZC and others, could also argue current CFL starting qb’s need a significant upgrade. We get nine elite QB’s across the league we help enhance our league.

Sure of course hard decisions to make in the cap world but was it the right one specifically when we’re talking Logan Stanley and trading him away to the Sabres? I have more questions than speculations when trying to answer this one. I don’t find it as cut and dry ie hands were tied as maybe others do.

Fair but it’s seems a lot of assumptions are in play here. Like, do we know for a fact that Chevy believed LS has hit his ceiling and had him pencilled in as a 3rd pairing D moving forward and do we know what the number LS and his agent weren’t willing to budge from to re-sign to determine whether keeping him made sense or not?

Great lets develop him, power thru his learning curve to come out the other side but wait lets trade him away for some pucks, sticks and tape when he's finally hitting his stride. Or we made off like bandits, great job Chevy?

Debbie Downer here. Does it matter? As of today nine points out of a wildcard spot with 22 games left. Playing the Bolts tomorrow will be another great litmus test of how much hope we should be extending to our beloved Jets this season.
