I don't hate people but I'm not going to accept their sin as normal and OK just because the media tells me to. I don't accept that lying or stealing is OK either. Mutilating the body God created for you is wrong, whether it's chopping off your genitals or pretending to be something you're not.
I pray for those who have fallen into the trap, whether they hate me for it or not.

you're right. the bombers track record over the last 24 years suggests this is all really just baseless doom and gloom.

I think it's terribly sad that the reaction to someone with an obvious mental disorder is to encourage their delusion and even give him major, life-altering cosmetic surgery.  Lord help me if I ever suffer from mental illness and instead of treatment I'm just encouraged to cut off my privates.
 
I also find it ridiculous that so many people (and a lot of the media) can simultaneously hate on and ridicule the whole Kardashian/Jenner clan for being attention-whores and completely screwed up in almot every way, while also praising Bruce Jenner as a courageous hero.  How can you not make any sort of connection between the two?
 
... and I'm not trying to take away anyone's rights as far as I know. Nor do I hate anyone involved in the sad, screwed up situation.

Interesting fact: the Bruce/Caitlyn Jenner camp asked to receive the award from ESPN, and threatened to not do the big Diane Sawyer interview if they didn't agree to it.  That award was just a big commercial for his next reality show.

I won't go to a weekday game at 6 because it's too hard to make it on time and have a nice 3 course supper first and be able to watch the entire warm-ups.
 
I won't go to a weekday game that starts anytime after 7:00 because then I get home too late to get my required 8 hours of beauty rest.
 
Nor will I go to ANY game on Saturday between June 1st - September 15th because I am either at the cottage, camping, at Folk Fest, Countryfest, mowing the lawn, or attending the Winnipeg Jets' Stanley Cup Parade.
 
Sunday evening is out because I'm either still at the lake or getting my rest for work the next day.
Sunday afternoon might work, until the NFL season starts then that's out too.
 
So it's simple really: all the games should be Sunday afternoon until the NFL season starts. Then take a few (?) weeks off completely and then have all the games Saturday. 
 
And also, we're going to need a Stadium in every neighbourhood of the city and maybe one in Brandon and Steinbach, all with the same game being played simultaneously on all of them so no one has to worry about long travel times and traffic getting there.

I have learnt that no matter they day or time a game is people will complain there is a better time.

While it's great to see the Riders lose, I keep just remember the 7-1, 1-7 billboard season.  I'm not going to get excited about anything until after the Banjo Bowl, let alone 3 measly games.
The Bombers seem to regularly start out well, only to steadily decline all season long. And we also regularly see other teams start out terribly only to completely turn their season around. See the BC Lions when they beat us in the last Grey Cup we were in.

I'm definitely starting to lose interest in the CFL.  I just haven't figured out if it's because of gimmicky new rules, the frustration of PI challenges on any given big play, or the nagging feeling of hoplessness around the Bombers I just can't shake.

Not sure how spearing to the head is not a penalaty.. But slapping a players head with your hand is.

How about WORST 3 offseason moves?
 
1. Taking so long to announce the first cuts.
2. Cutting their 5th string QB in a possibly impolite way.
3. Almost letting people think they wouldn't be able to attend training camp for a few minutes that one day.

Of course coaches make mistakes all the time.  But the point someone made above is valid about them basing their decisions on hours watching tape of games and practices, and actually knowing what the plays were vs. us just watching a few plays in the game.  If anyone here ends up being right about a player and the coaching staff is wrong, I would chalk that up to pure luck more than anything.
 
And the Bombers haven't cut Marve - they obviously don't think he's terrible and they do want him on the team. So it's not exactly a cut and dried either/or thing here.

Couldn't agree more. How ridiculous is it going to be when the biggest story of a lot of games is how the kicker did on converts?
 
My thoughts on the game: Punt coverage was excellent by the special teams. Kickoff coverage, not so much. Robert Marve sure is exciting to watch. I have no idea if he would be an effective quarterback, but his couple drives in garbage time 2 years in a row have been thrilling.
