Really tired of the criticism towards the fans and the media's insistence to reference the number of empty seats, rather than what has been sold. I even heard Lawless on H&L last night saying the stadium was too big - good freakin' grief... we've only played a dozen games there, give it some time!!! Last year was one of the worst seasons on record; coupled with a new stadium opening that was delayed a year and in a location that was more than a 5 min walk for St.James folk. Did everyone expect us to be selling out after that abomination last year?
 
I chose to see it this way: Game #1 we sold 24K and change, game #2 we sold 27K+ and for game #3 we'll be over 30K no problem. (29,100 is from yest. aft remember). 
 
People have the audacity to call out fans for that???

I'm a rural fan and even I think that's ridiculous. If Winnipeggers were fairweather fans this team would have run out of fans years ago.
 
I do, however, think that Winnipeggers are huge whiners Case in point: still complaining about the location of the Stadium. But fairweather fans they are not.

Why is everyone getting so down about the attendance??? Even on 1290 yesterday I heard a few times the hosts of different shows talking about how they built the stadium too big because now they'll never sell out.
 
Last year's team was HORRIBLE. And as bad as the team was, their off-the-field PR took an even bigger hit. I'd say the public perception of the team was even worse than in the Mike Kelly aftermath (partially beacuse the Kelly fiasco was so recently and things started adding up).
 
So we're exactly 3 wins into the 5th rebuild in 10 years now and already back up to 30,000 fans? I'd say that's pretty darn impressive.

I'm not impressed by bacon. Sure, YOU might think it tastes delicious, but anyone who really knows about meat knows that it's just lucky that it has so much salt on it.  Take away the salt and fat and it has a lot of work to do on it's fundamentals before it's a decent piece of food.

To be fair, no one in Saskatchewan has heard of a pvr yet and they still haven't figured out how to record with a VCR. It's basically a community service for the less fortunate.

As I said before. It was one of Walters first big moves. How was he supposed to know if he was about to get better players? If we didn't get better players then Banks would be playing more. Then your argument would be Banks sucks and our scouts can't find better players.

No kidding. When was the last time a QB had any success being even the #2 in his first year in the CFL?  Realistically we shouldn't even be expecting much out of Hall with his 1 year of experience in the CFL.

And anyone remember when all the teams ponied up a bunch of cash to gift to the the Ticats and Argos a couple years ago to help them with "marketing"?  Wasn't that the same year that Toronto hosted and won the Grey Cup too?  Meanwhile the Bombers are stuck in a cycle of crappiness while they are embarassed year after year by teams in much larger cities that they're paying to keep competitive financially.

Alberta has most of the rest of Canada to support. Norway just has to look after Norway.
