With all the problems of our O-line, Nichols cannot be a sitting duck, and Harris ought to be a big part of the answer- swing passes, shovel passes, flares and so forth to keep the D-linemen, linebackers and d-backs from pinning their ears back and coming after Nichols all night. Nichols might even have to take off a couple of times early on.

I am not defending or promoting Tillman, but it may be of value to know that we all have no-so-comfortable impulses which we keep under control due in no small part to social inhibition. However, some substances, like alcohol, pot and others act as dis-inhibitors and wipe out all the "don'ts" in our heads non-selectively when we take them. I have an odd feeling that we have a chance against the Esks. Their secondary must still be suffering PTSD after that shelling last game so if we can get off to a good start and hem Reilly in, we ought to be able to keep it close. If we get blown out, we're probably looking at a 4 and 14 season.

This has gone way past the point of disaffected fans pissing and moaning, and if the team is not in crisis, it is darned close. O'Shea and probably Walters have reached the point of being unable to redeem themselves. The fans have begun to vote with their feet and should the Bombers get mangled in Edmonton (a likelihood) then the next home game will feel like a wake. We are several players away from making a run at the payoffs, and you can put lipstick on that oinker if you like.

The Als are talent-poor and even if they wanted Medlock, they probably couldn't fit him in under their cap. So, even if they could get creative with their finances, there isn't much on their roster to pick though.
