    Jones and the pitchfork crowd in Regina have to have somebody not named Jones to hang for the current woes, and Durant is drawing a lot of flak on the Rider fansite, so he is looking like the sacrificial lamb. Willy did show some promise in Regina, so he might be welcome there.

    I wouldn't be ready to write Ray off just yet, nor the Argos. Their fan support is pathetic, but Ray can galvanize the Argos just as Collaros and Nichols have done. And as Durant has not.

    Rider fans on their website are in full meltdown mode. No surprise there.

    Yup. Jennings has the arm and the athleticism, but not the eyes, at least not yet.

    BC last might looked as bad as many projected them to look. The receivers did not earn their money at all. Jennings did not look sharp but he was let down by guys who should be a lot better.

    Burris is on tonight, so hard to tell if Ottawa's secondary is as bad as they look. Glenn has been pulled down a few times and is still cooking. Odd.

    Bomber fans have been so starved for optimism that they can be forgiven for being giddy at the moment. Reality does keep intruding, though, so we will have to wait until after the Labour Day match-ups before we can start feeling confident.

    Maybe so, but there are people who are very good are their jobs as subordinates with close supervision and/or clear rules but horrible when promoted into positions where they have to show independent thinking.
