Lining up 8 guys at the LOS on obvious run plays should be enough to show that Etch has no ideas for stopping the run.  I could understand preaching patience if we were having issues with the run after Week 6 (which we were), but we're 16 games in and the only response I've seen to address our run D issues was to get Unamba and Sears in at LB.  And that was only done yesterday, not earlier in the season.  Don't get me wrong, Unamba and Sears played well but you need more than that going up against the likes of Cornish.  
 
What goes through Etch's head?  It's one thing in the summertime and early fall to focus more on pass D and let the run D slide (not acceptable to me btw) when teams are throwing more, but when October hits and the weather gets colder it becomes prime time to run the ball.  If we had playoff aspirations an effective run D is crucial and necessary come November.  Odds are we won't have to worry about that sadly.
 
I'm firmly in the "Etch has to go" camp.

Brohm looked real good to me, and he looks better each time he plays.  It's too bad he's done for the season.  
 
Marve looked like a guy who is a home run hitter, the type who will strikeout a ton too.  Tonight he hit a couple home runs, but some of those throws...

Too bad he wasn't gone last night. 

Kohlert looks like an impact Canadian to me.

Like the escape ability and creativity from Marve......but lets see him complete passes from the pocket and run the O, from a somewhat less "desperation" or "schoolyard" mode......

However, the thought that we actually have 2 or 3 ligit guys playing at QB....gives me a bit of a glow....

Here are our losses, keep in mind not all points score for the other team were because of the D either, special teams and offensive **** ups lead to several points scored.. Not an ETCH fan and predicted the same but..... to be  fair...
 
26-3 Edmonton 3 points for our offense? Yeah let's blame ETCH
23-17 SASK, that was the game where we turned the ball over 5 times, but let's blame the D
38-21 Toronto, that was on a tuesday after we played SASK, 3 or 4 days later... D was gassed by the 4th but kept the team in it up until that point
35-30 sask in sask... Labour Day, Offense had a chance but couldn't move the ball, lets blame the d tho
30-24 sask, banjo bowl, turnovers cost us that game but again let's blame the d
26-9 vs bc in bc, Willy got hurt and that game was close until the 4th quarter, that was when our offense couldn't move the ball at all once willy got hurt, let's again blame the D tho
16-11 vs hamilton, remember that one? had a chance to win on the last play of the game but didn't, let's blame the D though even though our offense couldn't score 2 touchdowns
 
The last 2 games have been blowouts so those 2 teams, yeah... they have sucked but those 2 games is not how the season has gone for us really
 
4 of 9 losses were by like 6 points or less
2 of our losses, actually 3 if i include the last edmonton game, we didn't score a TD all game
 
How can we blame the D again??
 
Like i said, not an ETCH fan but blaming the D when the offense hasn't scored a touchdown in 3 of our losses and 4 of our losses were by 6 points or less?? I dunno about that one. 
 
I'm not gonna go through all those game stats but... Just based on what i recall, just eliminating our own offensive and special team mistakes, we probably could have won 4 of those games if not more, when you lose 4 games by 6 or less and you are turning over the ball lots and making special teams mistakes, pretty tough to blame the D. 
 
I'm not an ETCH fan at all and thought it would be like this too but to ignore the offensive struggles the team has had is just blaming etch cuz you don't like guy, i don't like the guy either but... just because i don't like him doesn't mean i'm going to ignore the bigger issues we have. 
 
Is the D a problem? i suppose so, but is the offense a bigger problem? Yes it is and if you refuse to see that or admit that, then i don't know what to say
 
4 losses by 6 or less, 3 losses we didn't score an offensive td all game.. How can we blame the D exactly? maybe for 2 losses we can blame the D but when the offense can't score touchdowns in 3 of those games and we turned the ball over multiple times in those 4 games we lost by 6 or less, not sure how the D and Etch get the blame. 
 
Ignoring the last 2 games because most the season wasn't like that
 
in 7 losses we have given up an average of about 28 points a game, in those 7 losses, we have scored an average of about 16 points a game. 16.5 really.
 
How can you blame the D for the majority of those losses when the Offense has only average 16.5 points a game in those losses. 16.5 points won't win you many games at all. 
 
Really wish i could find the stat on how many turnovers we have had and how many points it cost us in those 7 losses, cuz my guess.. just based on memory, it's quite a bit for sure. Can go on and on about the last 2 games but those last 2 games isn't what we've seen this season really, well it is, but not in terms of what the defense has done this season, those last 2 games are more of a reflection of what the offense hasn't done this season. 

Wait! The Bombers had a closed practice? What about the tax payers? Would some please think of the tax payers!!!!
And don't get me started on the RCMP closing practice, don't they know the tax payers paid for that stadium? Aren't they a federal agency funded by the tax payers too? My mind is blown that they would be so inconsiderate.

Who cares?  Grigsby was so far below average it is basically inconsequential.

There's almost no private or public organization that allows free media access to their employees.  They appoint a spokesperson.  I'm sure all of the leaders in the world are just terrible and weak.  I could be terminated from my job if I spoke to the media without clearing it through administrators, and chances are if I didn't have a specific reason to talk to the media, the administrators would handle it.  There is nothing wrong with the Bombers media policy.  The media have incredible access to the players, Walters, Miller and O'Shea.  When Mike Kelly tried to change the media policy and allow access to co-ordinators on specific days during the week, the media railed against that, they simply want what they cannot have, all of the time.

Naheed Nenshi could rush for 150 yards against the Bombers, so losing Cornish is no big deal for the Stamps.

I would be perfectly fine with that. I never want to hear ridiculous things like Ted Laurent and Alex Hall would be useless here because they don't fit the Etcheverry scheme.

Clarence Denmark is a competent player....
....but some question marks around the rest of the receivers...
RB Williams looks like a rising star.....
....helped by the Bombers horrible minor league tacking..,...
Short yard situations + shoddy tackling = killer gains....
T. Sherman had just an atrocious night in space......terrible....
Leggett had a 114 missed FG touchdown.....
...but evened out the scale with multiple missed tackles on D.....
Ottawa simply ate up them unbalanced D formations.....
...which make it sometimes impossible to stop the run....
...or in this case...another 188....
Meanwhile, Bomber OL did their pylon thing again....
January and Greaves really struggling out there.....
Willy really didn't play very well....
...but hard to...when NOTHING is going on around him....
Another 5 sacks and multiple hits on Drew....
Another plethora of penalties......
Kuale managed to snag 3 of them, before injury...
If the bench does not await, then I just don't know...
Under News at 11....Watson gets injured..left game
Our D had it all covered....no pressure, no tackling.....
Tonight....we looked like the expansion team, out there......
Need to start looking at guys at multiple positions.....
Need to take a hard look at our OC and DC, moving forward.....
Need to start benching guys for taking penalties/ poor play...
Need to start up my meds, again.....

Reminds me of the time I had to take the ferry over to Shelbyville to get a new heel for my shoe. I had an onion tied to my belt, which was the style at the time, anyway,back in those days nickels had pictures of bumblebees on 'em....

Anyone who doesn't have faith in the Bombers finding a way to lose a game they should win clearly hasn't followed the team for the past how many years? Never take anything for granted with this team, they just love to rip our hearts out.

Found a QB who can throw the ball, is tough, and has big upside
Found a coach, that the team busts their ass for, right to the end, no matter what the situation
May have ended the revolving door at kick returner
Got rid of some of the "me me attitude" that has held us up, the last number of years
Found our all round CDN kicker, going forward
Plugged the gaping hole at Safety, moving forward
Overall, far better play in secondary
 
That said, there were (and still are) limitations that pretty well put a ceiling, on how much progress, we were gong to make.
 
1.  Depth - this was not exactly a military secret - if we ran into injuries,things were going to get iffy - we miss Ian Wild, big time and Moore and Anderson were taking up key roles while healthy, and Patty N, was supposed to take on another.   The ongoing Watson/Sears thing didn't help.  The long snapping is killing us on a weekly basis. 
 
2.  OL - we play 3 Yanks on the line, yet are terribly inconsistent,  run game is off/on,Willy is taking a serious pounding and January is really slowing down.  Single biggest organization fail.... is the inability to find some import guys, among the gazillion in the US, until the Domestic larder is restocked.
 
3. Under the unexpected - the Special teams - costing us points, field position and momentum, with a myriad of mistakes, on a weekly basis.   Either MOS has to take a more direct hand on this, or Tracy needs to depart....

First game in BC? At Montreal?  At Hamilton?  First home game against Saskatchewan?  At home against Montreal?  Banjo Bowl, continually getting the ball back to our offense in the 2nd half?  Yesterday, again getting the ball back to our offense and holding Hamilton to field goals?
 
Short memory?

some of you people really need to lighten up and stop being so damned reactionary. Take a step back, take a deep breath, actually look at things logically and then maybe you can stop this nonsense like insinuating that Willy is the problem. This team simply can not deal with the injuries we have right now, in particular Moore. Our group of receivers are just not dangerous being down our best one.

No run game, one consistent playmaker, a bunch of guys who show up once a month (Kelly, Bryant, Watson).  Hard for me to put much blame on him.  Our team just isn't very good.
