@FrostyWinnipeg love the thread title, I am making my pitch right now for Friday’s re-match thread to be titled “From SEA to shining SEA”
Seconded. 🙂

Wonder if Rutger signs and Perfetti is replaced with Iafallo and you get Rutger Monahan Ehlers.
that would be sick.
I wonder if Perfetti got credited with an assist on Dallas' first goal since they scored three seconds after he handed them the puck.
I suppose the silver lining to the loss is the fact that we still have four games in hand on Dallas, but it would've been far better to be two point up on them instead of two points behind.

They really need to do a better job of hanging on to 2+ goal leads. My heart can't take much more of this.

Hopefully they left periods 2 and 3 in Calgary. If not, could be a long night.

Too early to call this a "must win" game? A five-game slide at this point (or any point for that matter) feels like the beginning of the end.
Stupid momentum-killing All Star break. ☹️

You’re right that goalies get special treatment, and I don’t actually know what the rule is or if there is one. I just feel/assume they should have to deal with it like everyone else.
A couple years ago Helle was lying in his crease with no mask on and the refs somehow allowed the play to continue and we eventually got scored on. I’d have been pretty pissed off if they blew that play down last night.
Recently (Saturday?) I heard mention that they won't blow the play dead if there's "an imminent scoring chance" even if the goalie has equipment issues. In the case they were talking about the goalie had lost his glove.

They really should have a Non-emergency section attached to every emergency room... so they can divert accordingly.
They already have that. It's the door marked "Exit".

O’Shea said he would have challenged it but could not get a good look at it on any replays.
It seems like at home games O'Shea relies heavily (and almost exclusively) on the scoreboard replays when deciding if he should challenge a play, but for whatever reason they're sometimes very slow to show those. Doesn't the team have someone in the booth going over replays and/or someone on the sideline with access to them on an iPad?

Has Evans ever played the Bombers and not ended up in obvious pain by the end of the game?
Mental or physical? Because we hurt him both ways. 🙂

I don't think many critiques of her or her party are based on gender, but this party royally stinks. A lot of significant roles in the party are filled by horrid politicians. This government seems like a satire:
- Minister of Indigenous Reconciliation and Northern Relations immediately comes to the defense of residential schools upon his appointment.
- Former Health Minster Friesen attacking doctors saying they are attempting to create chaos by warning that measures should be taken to prevent waves of Covid.
- Former Education Minister (Goertzen) participates in webinar advocating for home school while education minister "Education isn't simply a state activity — maybe shouldn't even be primarily a state activity,"
- Current health minister belongs to a church that has routinely publicly disobeyed public health orders, sued the government over health orders and Audrey Gordon herself was caught numerous times in violation of health orders.
It almost feels like they are intentionally mocking Manitobans sometimes. At the very least don't put people in charge of the very roles they obviously are completely unsuited for. This includes the current premier who was abysmal as the health minister during the worst wave of Covid and failed her way up to leader of the province.
I would love to see a summary/list of the apologies that this government has issued over the past year or so. For some reason I think it would be at least eight, so that's eight times where they spoke before they thought.

That’s not out of the question. Don’t look now but Nashville is only 5 points behind the Jets (although they’ve played one more game).
