Less than 1% of tests result in a positive result and 1% of those are fatal...
Point being...?

Nice to see a low daily total - but geez, seems like not that long ago we were below 500 total cases and only 1 active.

I think a lot of people were saying that when MB had 0 cases for a long time in July....
“A lot”? I think the bias caused by whatever Manitoba did to you is starting to take over your keyboard.

How many international flights has Winnipeg had since March? Zero while Calgary still is an international hub for the airlines. Do you really believe all passengers arriving in Calgary are self isolating for 14 days? It's one of the reasons our numbers are much higher. That's what Calgary has had to deal with the past 6 months.
A fair statement, however every jurisdiction seems to still be struggling with the whole issue of people not self isolating when they should be. It just seems that recently certain posters have painted Manitoba as the epicentre of COVID cases thanks to our surge in counts while failing to realize that other places are having issues too. Our #'s are lower than elsewhere for whatever reasons, but that's not arrogance. No one in Manitoba is saying "we've beaten this thing". No one.

I've come to learn that Manitoba doesn't think COVID exists here unless someone brings it in from elsewhere. That run of 0 cases they had for awhile gave everyone this extreme unearned arrogance. Alberta had some spikes in cases but they're averaging 10k tests per day and the TP % stays under 2%.
So you're saying that the higher test count is the primary reason why Alberta has about 10x the case total despite only being about 3x bigger population-wise? Seems I've heard that argument somewhere before...
-
While 29 new cases is still more than we’d like to see, it’s also worth mentioning that active cases (now 409) and the five day test postivity rate (1.2%) are both trending in the right direction.

I repeat, correctly, Manitoba the worst place in Canada for COVID right now... Insanity.
Does that mean you've cancelled your planned trip to the insane asylum so you can stay in the COVID-free paradise that is Alberta? 😜

also, apparently capacity is 2800/day right now. Would like to see that number closer to maxed out if possible...
At risk of sounding like Donald Trump, if they did test close to or at daily capacity then there is the chance of more positives being identified. That might freak some people out.

How come there's an argument over a championship ring???
Good point. I laugh at the people that call it "plain". I'd like to see the rings they have.

There isnt much to learn. There are 11 sapphires for the 11 grey cups. The diamonds just fill in the rest. The cool part is there is a unique inscription for everyone inside the ring that is different for each player. Thought that was a nice touch.
You said "there isn't much to learn", then list two things. Good job contradicting yourself. 😜
And my diamonds reference was just an example. I never said they definitely had meaning.

Will be interesting to learn the meanings behind various features (e.g. there are X number of diamonds because ______).

really? he owned that?! I guess I did go there once
I don't think Don Cherry was involved in the Grapes restaurants that were at Kenaston & Grant, on Main near York, on Pembina (Pier 7), etc. His restaurants were called "Don Cherry's Grill" or something like that.

I'm starting to go nuts hearing commercial after commercial saying. "We're in this together". Or, "We're here for you". No, they're not. They're saying that in hopes I'll buy something from them.
I look forward to when most commercials don't start with "In these uncertain times...".

They say this, but no one has the balls to actually enforce it.
Kind of ironic because people from MB heading to NWO would be the easiest to enforce (only one road in).
