  1. Damn straight....Celebrated my 18th birthday at the Pandora in the 80's. Still pulling shrapnel out of me arse
  2. Also at today's practice, Darvin Adams was no longer wearing a sling on his left arm. He did seem to be protecting it a bit, but showed no sign of discomfort when he was hucking twenty yard passes with his right arm, to #12 & #7.
  3. McDuffie looked anything but useless at today's practice. The most noticeable drop was by Denmark. Now that's a guy who is useless!
  4. Like it or leave it, the writer provides fairly in-depth rationale for his decisions. There aren't too many that do. Also, it's the first time I've read an actual assessment of Foketi's play. I paid little attention to him during the game and thought that because we ran the ball well and gave up no sacks that he must have been decent. I think that generally, this is a good read.
  5. The crux of this trade proposal is not about who is your most resilient player. it's that it only needs to last for the remainder of this year. Either QB could be traded/cut/ or restructured at year end. Who would you rather have as your relief guy for a championship run in 2016...Durant or Willy?
  6. I think that both sides could have some degree of motivation to make this deal. Sasky needs to show their fanbase that they aren't sitting with the status quo, because the status quo clearly isn't good enough. Maybe the fairytale begins anew with Willy's return to the bald prairie? As to the BB; think how close we currently are to being a championship team (I don't believe we are there)?...Now imagine having a revitalized DD behind centre for a playoff run (if/when Nichols goes down). Even as a relief pitcher he could have value, because at this point, Willy doesn't inspire optimism.
  7. Throw in Neufeld to offset the salary and to provide DW that much needed protection he will require in Sasky.
  8. Plenty of pros and cons to this discussion Injury history (both), playoff experience, age, current contract, history with Lapo, etc.
  9. Love that Pederson is being called out in this article. He's a Rider sychophant who runs the Sasky masses into a lather with his bizarro-world conspiracy claims. If only H & L would use some other Regina media person than him for their corn fed interviews. He's a transparent shill who would do well to remove the straw from his teeth before he makes any future unfounded accusations
  10. Nothing really matters - Fines are all I see Nothing really matters to me
  11. # 14 Duff McKagan listed as KR/PR on today's depth chart.... November Rain in August for the Argos!
  12. I'm looking forward to today's Rider post-practice report. If there is a noticeable decrease in the number of players on the field from 2 days ago, then Jones' claim that he was doing no wrong won't fly. The ongoing "tryouts" argument will spring holes very quickly.
  13. There will be no sanctions against the Riders but their paralympic team will be banned from playing.
  14. Scott Mitchell further states that his sources have told him that the Riders have two houses where these types of players are being housed.
  15. Rod Pedersen mentioned to H & Lawless that he sees many players at Rider practice who he doesn't recognize, and who seem anxious to hit the field post-practice. Jones told him that he frequently holds "open practices" and that there is no rule against this. (No one stated that these could be pre-practice or chicken squad players).
  16. I would throw Veltung onto the list of potentials.
  17. For those of you who think that Bob Irving's only media gig has been with CJOB, you might be interested to know about a brief experiment in the late 80's where he did television play by play. The Canadian Football Network was a league run syndication that was developed partly due to CTV dropping their CFL rights. I believe the broadcast pairings rotated, but one memory I do have is the pairing of Irving and Nick Bastaja. These two provided some of the most articulate commentary (Don Criqui and Bob Trumpy are still my favorites) I've heard since. Dave Hodge, Dan Kepley, and Neil Lumsden were also involved. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canadian_Football_Network
