  1. I would think Burke has a big part in asking or suggesting which FAs he wants to coach. If there is no communication both ways...then there is trouble.
  2. As I was mentioning in the another thread, I saw, in the 1st half, what you are describing. In two instances, where the blocking was formed to the inside, Simpson went off tackle and tried to get the corner...failed. If he had stayed true, he should have gotten at least 2-4 yds as a conservative guess. And I was at the game also. I could not see the same thing until I re-watched it on the PVR.
  3. Yeah, maybe...but what about the other team?
  4. I'm in the middle of watching the Tor. game and I'll tell you right now there are 2 instances that I can spot where the O-Line is doing their job and keeping the D-Line at bay...but Buck...looks underneath for the 5-yarder, on 2nd down, throws completions, but for short gains. Now, I couldn't see if the other receivers were open further downfield but Buck had at least a few more seconds to look...but didn't. And on that note, in the 1st half, the O-Line was blocking for a hole but Simpson chose to go outside, twice...to no avail. I'm not going to go all out for the O-Line but sometimes they get the blame and it's misplaced.
  5. No, what I'm suggesting is that our fan base should pay attention and not whine or cry when we cut a veteran for a younger (gasp) cheaper player because, obviously other teams do it all the time.
  6. Seems like other teams have no trouble cutting vets.
  7. He is, however, what Lapo thought, fit his game plan. I don't know what Burke sees in him, that fits in his game plan.
  8. You don't mean to say that normal football procedures should come to a stop do you?
  9. Yes, you're right, LaPolice hired hired Crowton, he explains it all in the video you posted. But then again that's proof, so why would they listen to that? It's maddening though, kinda like Burke sticking with his "no feasible QB- but play him anyway" policy.
  10. Just the fact that he could run, throw on the run and could make plays to secondary reads, says that he is at least a viable option to what Buck presented. And he didn't have too leave the game...so wait, he was better than Buck yesterday.
  11. I think we talk about the coaching staff more than mgmt. at this point because there is a concern in Crowton's packages. This however, is skewed because of packages for Buck. Let's see what Crowton can do with other QBs. What is worrisome is the lack of overall professionalism of this team, the focus, and the discipline. Other observations. Demond Washington is a keeper. Take Will Ford off of returns...unless you want safe 7 to 15 yds. per. Most embarrassing play? Allowing R Ray to run 18 yes for a TD. What? Simpson fumbles again? Still puzzling....the need to throw for 8-10 yds. and the play calling to throw for 0-5 yds. Also, why did we abandon those quick passes so quickly? Lots of good plays from the NI receiving corps. Heads up to Denmark for a comeback game. Catch of the game to R. Kohlert
  12. Watching that game live was unrewarding until Goltz got into the game, not because he was going to bring us back and win the game, but because, finally, he was going to get some meaningful reps. And meaningful they were. What he saw out there and his reaction to live bullets flying looked promising. And yes his ability to scramble was welcome. I liked that he kept seeing things downfield and was actually able to do something about them. We're 1-3, looking at 1-4. This is the time to make the switch in QBs.
  13. The entire game changed when Buck threw that pick. We were in the game...it was a game, and then in 2 plays, the game was over. Buck became Hank. There is no doubt...Goltz should start.
  14. Well, this is especially true with the master Ray at QB. He had the reads right and he recognized man coverage and had his field day out there. 19/20 for 286 yds before he limped off the field. A heck of a performance.
  15. Apparently Buck is the QB throwing breaks....because we just can't seem to catch one.
  16. Yes, it's not all on the QB...but being so close in that game, with even just a little better passing by Buck (ie. accuracy)....we win that game.
  17. Doesn't anybody find it ironic that they're sitting Denmark for playing below expectations, and the player replacing him is a guy named Pierce?
  18. Shouldn't that be Mr. Dee-Zha?
  19. It's scary/painful to watch Pierce try to connect with Matthews. Like trying to get satellite TV with rabbit ears. It ain't working.
  20. His hesitation says it all. Go with Goltz. Damn the repercussions!
