  1. I'm glad Montreal has turned it around at least 4 games in.  They looked absolutely horrible to start but now look to be a decent team trending in an upwards direction, even more so when you consider the tire fire that is happening off the field.  I mean, They lacked a starting QB, fired their HEAD COACH between pre-season and regular season and now their GM.   They put in a Rookie HC that also has to be the OC with QBs without much experience.

Pretty Impressive when you consider all that and it looks to be Khari that is making all the difference so far.

Has anyone confirmed if Khari has been able to get his headset off without issue?

At the end of the day the best thing to get the younger generation hooked on the sport is getting out and enjoying the same experience lots of us had as kids with our parents.  My 9 year old daughter hated everything to do with the bombers and football.  I kinda forced her to come to a game in Edmonton last year.  The players were so interactive and great with her and since that day she loves the bombers with all her heart.  Harris scored a touchdown and proceeded to run to us in the front row and personally gave her a ball and now she will be a fan for life.

Thats awesome!! what a wonderful moment/memory for you and your daughter.

Off topic, But My 9 year, My parents and i are driving to Minneapolis at the end of the month in a 1959 chrysler and a 1960 chrysler for a car show.    I have fun memories of driving to places in the US for car shows specific to these cars with my parents 20 years ago and i'm really happy that My son will be able to share them with me and his grandparents.. I wanted to bring my 4.5 year old daughter but she would he too much of a handful driving all that way in these cars.

Argos are better than their record

I 100% agree. I think there are fighting through with a green QB and coaching staff and some weak depth

I bet that's the only way he would take the job. That and the free lawn fertiliser deal that is coming without doubt.

Smart plan.  It forces the team to give you a real chance to rebuild the team and if not, you are covered for 2 years while you find the right fit.

I think BC and Montreal are going to end up being tier 2 teams while Saskatchewan and Toronto are a tier of their own because they are so bad. Ottawa, BC, and Montreal will be fighting for the last two playoff spots.

I agree.  Montreal looked pretty good against Hamilton.. They didn't quit and played to the end of the game.. I believe Khari is responsible for that. All without a bonfide Starting QB.

Toronto kept it extremely close against BC.. Maybe BC sucks that bad, or Toronto is slowly getting better.  They also don't have that great of a lineup.

Sask is a wildcard.. if they deploy alot more jet packages, i can see them coming on a bit stronger, but they are still weak at QB when playing the stronger teams.

Edmonton esks lowered some ticket prices to 22 bucks. Free to those under a certain age.

    about time.

hope some other teams do something similar.

If the Bombers lowered the kids prices i would go and see more games.. my 9 year old only wants to go because he can go on the field after the game.. not really interested in the game itself.. or atleast watching with me at home.

The price is kinda expensive just to get him on the field.. I would also bring my 4 year, she would probally be into it, but that alot of money to bring two kids that are not super interested, aside from the snacks, drinks and playing on the field.

  6. Maybe, JUST MAYBE, they pump up the team that is losing to keep their fan base engaged and positive by pointing out some of the bright spots, while their team is getting run over?

Honestly, i don't knwo why any of you care about the commentary at all. Its just another layer of enjoyment for me watching the game.  While i like going to games at the stadium, i prefer to watch games on tv as the plays are more focused, the replays are easy to see and they break down things and point out things i wouldn't otherwise see.

The stadium is great for being out with my Kids or with my friends, but for alot of the game i miss things. Might be my ADHD keeping me from paying attention and instead focusing on all the other **** going on.

Yo Skunk! good to hear from ya... I had seen you on here from time to time but didn't know how much you actually hung out here... thx for the kind words, much appreciated... at the time you left, me and you were kind of in the same boat, lol... it's gotten only slightly better for me since you've left... but you know me, lol...

I'll probably hang out, at least for a while anyway and see how it goes... I was told that I didn't get off to a very good start though, so.... it may be bumpy, lol...

Look.. There are a few posters that are "holier then thou" and when their personal opinions differ from yours will attach your manhood and personal character instead of actually debating their opinion.. It gets tiresome, but there are enough great posters that offset the delusional.

There are even more that reject the jet package, but i assure you, its the most elite, tactically sound play any offence can run.  if you disagree you are ****.

I don't know, better tread lightly with Ripper as he may get the last laugh...

Mr. Fajardo was 24 for 31,  77.4%,  430 yards,   2 TDS.... that's more that Nichols has thrown for this entire season and way better completion percentage, and not to mention he's never had a 400 yard game...  against anybody, ever...

    But they played Toronto.

In comparison, Hamilton scored double the points.

So.  either Toronto stepped it up this week, or They are just really bad and sask isn't nearly as good as the numbers showed last night.

    Which is it?

Are you saying MATT NICHOLS is a championship calibre quarterback?? Sorry to break it to you but a Grey Cup will never be within reach with Mr. Game Manager at the helm.

    WTF?

have you checked the bomber history of QBs that have won greycups?  a few of them were "game managers" and some of them pretty ****, but the defence carried the day.

Is Nichols better then Bo? No.   Better then Colaros, Davis, Adams, Pipkin, Masoli and HArris.. yes.

Sorry,. I wouldn't replace Nichols withone other then Bo, and i'm not sure i would take the Cap Hit of 700k for him either.

Never was and never will be a nichols fan. He has done nothing in my opinion to prove his worth to this team. O'shea bares some of the blame for letting him continue playing still while doing absolutely nothing. Just saying.

Thats fine.. But i have suffered since 2008 without a team/qb that could win consistently..

    We have that now.

I wouldn't want to pay Chung and Rielly 1 million,  I would take Bo-Levi over Nichols.  I wouldn't pick another QB over nichols in the CFL.

Our offence was 3 big plays and a big penalty. 1 of the big plays was a good throw by Nichols, the other 2 were all Whitehead and Demski.

Nichols got more than half his yards on 2 throws, only one of which was a good throw.

Passing yards aren't meaningless. What you're really saying is it's OK because we won.

Folks are comparing QB play, not who won. If Nichols was on Edmonton last night, they would have still lost, had less yards passing and wouldn't have even been as close as they were. If Harris was on Winnipeg last night, we'd have won anyway, likely by more.

its pure conjecture to say that if nichols was on the other team they would still lost.  Maybe he would have thrown for 400 yards in a different system???

Point being, in the CFL if you don't have a run game, the DLINE pins their ears back and pressures the QB every play.  Harris was bad last night which let Edmonton pin their ears back just like in BC.

Give it a few more weeks/games and then discuss what this years Matt Nichols is

Nichols did more then Rielly did and Bo-levi is 0-1 on the season.

Nichols wasn't good, but made the plays the mattered to win the game.  I'm good with that.
