  1. He's good but not worth breaking the bank to get. The Blue should have enough money for him if they want to go after him.
  2. I'm excited that Matthews is back as Adams is definitely a streaky guy. My only concern is Nicholls playing like he did last season and only going deep once a game....
  3. I doubt that aluminum is done. It's a great pick up for the riders. They will need all the help they can get for this season.

I'm not sure about the over rated as a wrestler part. I listened to many interviews where nearly every guy said Ric Flair could put on a great match with a mop. He is insanely highly respected as a wrestling talent with his peers.
  5. I was young but I completely remember Tee Martin throwing a perfect bomb down the field and Kamau beating the coverage only for him to drop the ball despite it floating beautifully in his hands. Tee Martin looked good, his receivers were absolutely atrocious.
  6. If we are comparing both guys both when they were healthy... Ricky Ray wins hands down. If we are judging them over career achievements then it's a much closer debate. **** when Ricky Ray was on it was impossible... the guy dinked and dunked and had an obscenely high % of completions and a tonne of time of possession. Not that it's a complete fair comparison but look at Calvillo in his first few years compared to Ricky Ray coming out of nowhere and lighting it up.

Lol I could watch Flair promos for hours I love them!
  8. Is it Lapo though?? This is what I really want to find out this season. Because it seemed like once Streveler went in the ball was distributed around everywhere and that Nichols really struggled at making quick reads and always did the drop off?

Well it's only my opinion but his time with the Hart Foundation his promos were very meh and it didn't help that Anvil literally only could do the maniacal laugh and scratching his beard. His best promos were after the split when he was going against guys like Perfect and they seemed better because so many promos during hat time were hard core cheese. His promos during his last years with WWE he was carried by guys like Austin , The Rock and Micheals. I personally don't like HBK but he was good on the mic and stirring up the fans. His time in WCW he was so massively coked out and post Owen he was a shell of himself. I barely remember any of his WCW stuff outside of being KO'd by Goldberg. His best promo was all his real life heat with Vince. I found Bret to have zero personality at all and very dry. His in ring work though was A+++ and it was his ability to put on a great match that told the best stories. Outside of him saying the best their is one liner I can't really remember anything at all about his promos aside from him calling Jerry Lawler a coward and saying words like dweeb and chicken. He wasn't memorable like Austin doing his 3:16 speech, Warrior telling Hogan about the pilot and the plane going into a nose dive or the millions of promos of the Rock insulting people.

Bret was not smooth on the mic at all, very forced. The only thing that made his promos decent was that he wasn't saddled with a crap gimmick so his promos felt less cheese then many of the other guys in his era. Shawn Micheals and Austin and the other guys that he had his biggest feuds definitely carried him in the promos.
  11. It appears that the guy loves the city and the club room culture a lot, I can see him being on the team for a long time and maybe he'll be one of those guys who moves here permanently after his playing days.

Bret was way to coked out to cut a good promo. He was terrible on the mic. It was his wrestling skills and his ability to carry people to good matches what got him over. Owen had the whiny thing going for a while but when he went heel an feuded with Bret he was miles better on the mic. In ring I would say they were very comparable with Bret being slightly better.
  13. From what the coaches and other football experts say Foketi would easily be starting for almost any other team in the league. He's the real deal.

In a different world had Owen lived I think he would of surpassed Bret Hart as being the all time best wrestler from the Hart family. The guy was much more entertaining and from what I've read a great character and has his head on straight.
  15. I don't know.. if Arena football couldn't make it with all the coverage and support they had then I don't see how this will make it.
  16. Does anyone in the States even want the XFL?
  17. Streveler was definitely better last season. I'm hoping Matt can turn it around and look like he did 2 seasons ago... otherwise it's time to move on. I keep harping back to the Ottawa game but literally the moment Streveler came in the ball was spread around to several receivers and we marched down the field and kept the opposition off balance. To many times last season our O completely shut down when Harris wasn't moving the ball and Nichols panicked and either held onto the ball to long or dumped it off instead of throwing to his first two reads.
  18. I'm just glad we didn't blow a first rounder on a white receiver with zero physical abilities.
  19. That Sonic movie is just awkward. Jim Carrey is channeling his Ace Ventura in his Dr Robotnik ...
  20. In fairness it's not like St Louis stumbled into the play offs. The team responding and were beating everyone once he took over.
  21. UFC

That Greg Hardy fight had to have been a fixed/worked fight right? This fight looked exactly like a Bob Sapp fight. I have no idea on why the UFC would put him in the co main event , the guy is absolutely terrible. His opponent tonight literally didn't fight back and made zero effort in defending himself or doing anything. I don't see any point in why they are pushing this guy? Nobody likes him and nobody cares... this was almost as low as the CM punk fights...
  22. I thought that with his injuries he hasn't been on that same level from a few years back?
  23. I'd assume they are massively overspending and now are cutting corners on anything that is not an instant success.
  24. Brandon replied to Rich's topic in General Discussion
I'd assume the idea would be the old guy would be out of touch of what fans want these days and by bringing in the young guys it will somehow change the current product. I completely disagree with this.
  25. Over 4000 comps and the place still wasn't full it was really bad. Considering the first card sold instantly.
